The Prep Academy at South Lexington recently celebrated Family Literacy Night! Families entered the world of Eric Carle to meet the Very Hungry Caterpillar, the Very Busy Spiders, the Grouchy Ladybugs, and even more of our favorite illustrated friends!

Helping families get excited about reading together is one of the best ways to promote early literacy skills, family bonding, and school readiness!

Connecting with parents and caregivers can be a great way to reduce parent and caregiver stress, increase their resilience, and create real opportunities to keep kids safe -- even when it feels awkward or hard.

People (especially parents!) want to be seen and understood. Be the one to strike up a conversation or simply ask how folks are doing. Be sure to follow our partners at the Kosair for Kids Face It Movement for parent and caregiver inspiration, child safety tips, and much more.
