Our Legacy families enjoyed a beautiful afternoon at Keeneland for the Bryan Station G3 Stakes Race, complete with lunch, and the chance to see Thorpedo Anna, Horse of the Year in action!

We were honored to be recognized in the Winner’s Circle for our partnership with Keeneland and as Golden Apple Award winners through the Fayette Education Foundation and Fayette County Public Schools. Moments like these remind us what community, collaboration, and Legacy are all about. 🌟

A special thank you to Kara Hardesty Heissenbuttel, Coca-Cola Consolidated, and everyone who helped make this day possible for our families.

Today, we had the honor of hosting a beautiful scholarship ceremony in celebration of two outstanding Legacy Program seniors, India Hill and Montae Ashford. Both students have shown exceptional dedication to the agriculture and equine industries through their leadership, service, and commitment. As active members of the Legacy Program at Academies of Bryan Station High School, India and Montae have truly embodied what it means to carry forward tradition while creating new pathways for the future.

We are so proud to announce that both will be continuing their education at Kentucky State University!

Thank you to everyone who joined us to honor these incredible students and support their next chapter. The Legacy lives on through them! Kentucky State University Keeneland

🐎 Legacy Equine Academy x Bryan Station Black Student Union 🖤✨

In honor of Black History Month, Legacy Equine Academy was proud to partner with the Bryan Station Black Student Union for a special visit to Roots 101 African American Museum!

Black history is deeply woven into the fabric of the equine industry. From the earliest days of Thoroughbred racing, Black horsemen were pioneers… jockeys, trainers, grooms, and breeders who shaped the sport. Legends like Isaac Murphy, Oliver Lewis, and Jimmy Winkfield dominated the racetrack, yet their stories have often been overlooked.

This month, we are celebrating, learning, and reclaiming that history. Our trip to Roots 101 Museum is an opportunity to reflect on the past, honor the contributions of Black equestrians, and inspire the next generation to continue this rich legacy.
