This past Sunday, we gathered at the Yearlings Club for the Ed Brown @ The Downs Summer Social, where Ed Brown Members & Friends heard directly from our Scholars, Fellows, and Alumni who are actively working in the Thoroughbred industry and beyond.

We also shared more about group rate and sponsorship opportunities for Ed Brown @ The Downs, returning to the Starting Gate Suites at Churchill Downs on November 14.

Chairman Greg Harbut and President Clark Williams were on hand at The Jockey Club Roundtable in Saratoga Springs, NY to present the Ed Brown Partnership Award to The Jockey Club in celebration of its partnership in our mission since 2024. Tremendous thanks to The Jockey Club for sharing in this work that’s investing in the present and future of the thoroughbred industry.

We're looking to award talented students ready to grow through mentorship, professional development, networking, and hands-on internship experiences in the Thoroughbred industry.

Selected students will receive a $3,000 scholarship ($1,500 per semester) while participating in the Ed Brown Scholars & Fellows Program.

We're seeking students who demonstrate academic excellence, professionalism, and a desire to gain real-world experience in sports, hospitality, event operations, business, or the Thoroughbred industry. If you're ready to learn, grow, and take advantage of opportunities with our industry partners, we encourage you to apply.
