Lewisville Local 3606 is excited to welcome the newest addition to our fire family!

Haddie Hundt, daughter of Tyler and Cassidy Hundt, was born on August 21st, weighing 5 lbs, 8 oz and measuring 18.3 inches long. Cassidy and baby Haddie are doing great, and the Hundt family is enjoying every moment with their newest addition.

As you can see in the pictures, the siblings are already working on the house rules, because it looks like they’re adding a third player to the lineup.

Welcome to the family, Haddie. Congratulations to the Hundts!

Members of Lewisville Local 3606 were proud to stand alongside our brothers and sisters from the Flower Mound Professional Firefighters at the 1st Annual James Bobbitt Memorial Clay Shoot, honoring the life and legacy of their fallen brother, James Bobbitt.

The fire service is a close-knit family. Whether we serve in Denton County, across North Texas, throughout Texas, or anywhere in this great country, we show up for one another when it matters.

Our members who participated were honored to support the Flower Mound Professional Firefighters and be part of the first event held in James’ memory. We look forward to seeing this tradition continue for years to come.

Since Monday, Lewisville Local 3606 President Joaquin Criner and Treasurer Keith McCain have been in Arlington, Texas, attending the International Association of Fire Fighters Convention.

They’ve spent their time meeting and learning alongside fire fighters from cities and states across the country, as well as our fellow fire fighters from Canada.

The goal is simple: keep the fire fighters answering our communities’ 911 calls healthier, reduce their risk of cancer, and make sure they have access to the best training possible.

Because when our fire fighters are safer, the communities we swore an oath to protect are safer too.

We would also like to thank the Arlington Professional Fire Fighters for hosting the convention and for their hospitality throughout the week.

The Lewisville Fire Fighters Association is asking our Lewisville community and our neighbors across North Texas to rally around Meeko and Samantha SpainHower during an incredibly difficult time.

After a sudden trip to the ER, doctors discovered a mass on Meeko’s brain, and he is now facing brain surgery and the recovery that follows.

Right now, Meeko, Samantha, and their son, Colter, need our support. A GoFundMe has been established to help ease the financial burden of medical bills, household expenses, and child care so their family can focus on what matters most: Meeko’s recovery.

𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐔𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫

Today, the members of Lewisville Local 3606 pause to reflect on a moment that forever changed our department and, most importantly, the life of one of our own.

On August 6, 2012, Lewisville Engine 3 responded first to a house fire. Firefighter Andy Allison was on the nozzle when he was struck by an electrical shock from a dryer inside the home. Though Andy walked away from the scene, his injuries were serious and the long-term effects were life-altering.

What happened that day changed how we approach every call. Andy’s experience remains a reminder that 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 “𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞” 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥.

In the years that followed, lessons from Andy’s incident helped shape important changes to our operations, including meter pulling, OV responsibilities, and electrical injury response. Those changes continue to help protect our crews today.

But Andy’s impact went far beyond Lewisville.

He turned pain into purpose, 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐥 to improve the Workers’ Compensation system for emergency responders. His efforts helped pass 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐬 that better support injured fire fighters across Texas.

Today, we honor Andy’s strength, sacrifice, and leadership, and we remember the lessons his experience continues to teach us.

The Lewisville Fire Fighters Association mourns the line-of-duty death of Lieutenant Isai Huerta of Odessa Fire Rescue, who made the ultimate sacrifice today, June 14, 2026.

Lt. Huerta gave his life in service to the community of Odessa, Texas, and his loss is felt across the fire service.

To his family, his crew, and everyone at Odessa Fire Rescue: we stand with you, we grieve with you, and we honor his service.

Rest easy, Lieutenant.
