Today was about more than neckties.

Members of the Western Forsyth Rotary Club had the opportunity to spend time with young men at South Fork Elementary, helping them prepare for their graduation ceremony by teaching and assisting with neckties before they walked across the stage.

Sometimes confidence begins with the small things — a handshake, encouragement, learning something new, and knowing someone took the time to show up for you.

We are proud to support and encourage the next generation as they take another important step forward. Congratulations to the students, families, teachers, and staff of South Fork Elementary on this special day.

Sunshine, fresh air, and a little friendly competition ☀️🎾

Today’s 5th Tuesday on-site meeting took us to South Fork Park, where Harold Moore led the group in games of red ball tennis. Plenty of laughs, great energy, and a fun way to spend time together outside the usual meeting room.

Days like this are all about connection 🤍

The Winston-Salem Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Western Forsyth held a joint meeting to hear Comedian Ritch Shydner’s talk about the History of Standup Comedy. Ritch Shydner is pictured with President Elect Katie Hall of the Winston-Salem Club receiving a caricature featuring his career highlights in comedy.

Special Rotary Event: The History of Standup Comedy Part 2. 🎭

Join the Rotary Club of Winston-Salem and the Rotary Club of Western Forsyth for our meeting at 12:15pm on Tuesday, March 10 at the Benton Convention Center to hear comedian Ritch Shydner's talk on the History of Standup Comedy.

Ritch has appeared on the Tonight Show 12 times and has written for Jeff Foxworthy, Steve Martin and Roseanne Barr among others.

Cost is $30. Lunch buffet included!
