ECHO ECHO provides lifelong support for adults with disabilities.

We offer skill building, job placement, day support, and transportation services to empower individuals with disabilities to achieve their optimal level of personal, social and economic success. ECHO provides employment, training, day support, transportation and community integration to individuals with disabilities while providing competitive business services such as packaging and grounds maintenance in Northern Virginia.

If you're heading to the corn maze this fall, be sure to keep an eye out for our superhero-themed display featuring some familiar ECHO faces!

We're so excited to be part of the fall fun at Great Country Farms this year, and we'd love for you to stop by, snap a photo with our superheroes, and tag us in your pictures! 💙

For more than 50 years, employment has been an important part of ECHO’s story.

What began in the 1970s has grown alongside the people we serve, the needs of our community, and our understanding of what meaningful employment can look like for adults with disabilities.

Today, ECHO participants work throughout our community, contribute to longstanding partnerships, develop new skills, earn a paycheck, and take pride in the work they do.

During National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we’re proud to celebrate that history while continuing to look toward what comes next. 💙

LIFE participants love spending time at Jackpot Pinball Arcade, and we're so grateful for the warm welcome they receive with every visit!

From enjoying friendly competition to trying new games and building social connections, Jackpot has become a wonderful place for our participants to have fun while working toward their individual goals. They've even welcomed one of our participants for an interview, providing a unique opportunity to practice communication skills and build some confidence along the way!

Sometimes it looks like landing a job and becoming part of a team. Sometimes it’s trying something new, spending a day out in the community, learning a new skill, or simply having the opportunity to make your own choices.

At ECHO, inclusion isn’t one program, place, or moment. Inclusion is creating opportunities for those we support to participate, contribute, connect, and belong. 💙

In September, members of the ECHO team headed to Washington, DC for SourceAmerica’s Grassroots Advocacy Conference!

The conference brought together self advocates and nonprofit leaders from across the country to connect, learn, and raise awareness about employment opportunities for people with disabilities. We were proud to be part of those conversations and to bring ECHO’s perspective to Capitol Hill.

Our time in DC included a particularly special moment. ECHO joined SourceAmerica representative Marshell Gaspar for the presentation of the AbilityOne Congressional Champion Award to Representative Suhas Subramanyam, recognizing his commitment to constituents with disabilities and the AbilityOne Program.

We also had the chance to experience a little more of Capitol Hill thanks to Michael, an ECHO participant and wonderful self-advocate, who helped arrange a private tour of the Capitol Rotunda and Crypt for our group!

We came home with new ideas and some pretty great memories. We’re grateful for opportunities like these to learn, advocate, and make sure the voices and experiences of the people we serve are represented in the conversations that matter. 💙

Meet Vinny! 💙

As ECHO Coffee Roasters gets into the swing of production, Vinny has quickly become a familiar face around the roastery. He was one of the first ECHO participants to learn the ECR production workflow, and our team has been impressed by how quickly he picks up each new step.

Whether he’s learning a new part of the process or jumping in to help with production, Vinny brings plenty of enthusiasm and a willingness to learn to every shift.

We’re excited to see Vinny continue building his skills as ECR grows, and we have a feeling you’ll be seeing a lot more of him around the roastery! ☕
