Our mission in simple. To serve the people of the Northwest region of Haiti. Welcome to Northwest Haiti Christion Mission.

Our mission is simple: To serve the people of the Northwest region. We provide sustainable, real support to these people in need and enrich their lives spiritually and physically. We are dependent on people like you to make it happen! Through the instrument of the church, we serve thousands of people across Northwest Haiti regardless of their age, gender, or religion. We do so through a diverse collection of programs that include – among others – primary schools, feeding projects, orphanages, medical clinics, church planting, a Bible college, and agricultural development. We are the largest employer in the zone and one of the largest ministries in Haiti. Northwest Haiti Christian Mission is built around partnerships with churches and individuals who are interested in ministry in Haiti. Every year, hundreds of volunteers travel to Northwest Haiti on short-term trips to participate with us in our work.

Help us nourish the next generation!

Every day, NWHCM provides meals to hundreds of children and families across Northwest Haiti. Through our Nutrition Program, you can help give a child a strong foundation to grow, learn, and thrive.

For just $50 a month, you can sponsor a child, or give $25 a month toward a shared sponsorship.

Would you consider being part of this ministry and helping us continue providing meals to children who need them? Every sponsor makes a difference! 🙏

We’re praying for a sponsor for Cherlinda Jonas! 💙🎶

Cherlinda always has a song to sing or a story to share! She even makes sure you remember to tell her good morning, unless she’s singing, of course. We love that she carries so much joy with her, and we could all use a little more of that kind of sunshine in our day. 💕

Cherlinda is in need of a sponsor at $115 per month. Would you consider being part of her story and helping provide the care and support she needs to thrive?

You can sponsor her on your own or share the cost with friends, family, or your church community.

🙏 Please join us in praying for a sponsor for Cherlinda!

📚 Thank you for helping us get ready for school!

We’re so grateful to everyone who donated to our Back-to-School Fundraiser. Because of you, we can continue investing in these students and the education that will help shape their lives.

We mourn the passing of Larry Owen, founding Executive Director of Northwest Haiti Christian Mission. Words cannot fully express the lasting impact he made throughout Haiti’s Northwest Zone or the countless lives he improved during nearly 30 years of leadership with our ministry and nearly 50 years of service in Haiti.

Before ministering in Haiti, Larry served as a pastor and was a proud Vietnam War veteran. Please keep his family in your prayers as they prepare to honor his life this Saturday in Versailles, Kentucky.

Note from our current Executive Director, Sam Guilliams.

"I've had the pleasure of knowing Larry for most of my life, and I consider his influence one of the biggest in guiding me toward ministry. His bravery and accomplishments in Northwest Haiti are legendary, and he will be mourned and missed by Haitians and Americans alike."

We’re praying for someone who would love to make a difference in Jean Wensley Darelus’s life. 💙👇

Jean Wensley is still in need of a sponsor, with $115 per month needed to provide ongoing support. Sponsorship is a meaningful way to come alongside a child, helping ensure they have the care, encouragement, and opportunities they need as they grow.

Would you consider being that source of support for Jean Wensley? You don't have to do it alone. Sponsorship can be shared with friends, family, or your church community. We would love to see this sponsorship need met!
