Phil and Jan Smith are sent by Bethesda Baptist Church in Brownsburg Indiana, and were appointed in 2013 by ABWE (Association of Baptists for World Evangelism) to be career missionaries to Papua New Guinea. Phil and Jan both accepted Christ as their Savoir at an early age. As high school sweet hearts, they started dating in 1982 and were married 7 years later in 1989. They have two children. Andre

w, their son, is currently attending IUPUI in Indianapolis Indiana, majoring in Computer Engineering Technology. He is married to Heather, also a graduate from IUPUI with a degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology. Lauren, their daughter, is currently attending Moody Bible Institute in Spokane Washington, majoring in Intercultural Studies.
