We’re celebrating exciting news from the Leawood Chamber team!

Our Vice President of Programming & Communications, Taylor Limoges, has been selected for the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives’ Next Generation Leadership Program, joining emerging chamber leaders from across the country for a year of professional development, mentorship and networking.

“We are incredibly proud of Taylor and excited to see her recognized as one of the chamber profession’s emerging leaders,” said President & CEO Stephanie Meyer. “She is creative, smart, dependable and deeply committed to making our organization and our community better.”

In honor of , we’re introducing the four-legged team members who keep us on our toes:

🎂 Charlie - Steph’s pup, who turns 11 this week!
🐶 Kona - Taylor’s trusty sidekick, who turns 3 in October!
🐾 Hank - Pamela’s 3-year-old bundle of joy!

They may not answer emails, attend ribbon cuttings or help us pull off 80+ events a year...but morale would simply not be the same without them. 😂

⛳ We’re officially in the swing of tournament week!

A big thank you to the AdventHealth Championship for hosting our August After Hours yesterday afternoon! Chamber members and guests enjoyed an evening of networking while getting ready for one of Kansas City’s biggest weeks of golf.

And now, it’s tee time! 🏌️ Round 1 of the AdventHealth Championship begins TODAY at Blue Hills Country Club, with tournament play continuing through Sunday.

Last night, we had the best time celebrating the Best of Johnson County winners, and even better, we got to celebrate alongside so many of our fellow Chamber members!

A big congratulations to Bamboo Penny’s, Bee Organized, Douglas L. Freeman, CPA, J29 Creative Group, Spirit of Adventure Travel and Strauss Peyton Portrait Studio on their well-deserved wins. 👏

We were also pretty excited to officially celebrate our own: Best Chamber of Commerce in Johnson County for the second year! 💙

A fresh space and a bright new view! 👓✨

Yesterday, we celebrated Leawood Family Eye Care & Optical Boutique with a Ribbon Cutting at their beautiful new office! They didn’t move far (just a few buildings down) but their new space at 114th & Ash is certainly worth celebrating.

We were pleased to have Mayor Marc Elkins and Councilmember Sherrie Gayed join us as we cut the ribbon and wished the Leawood Family Eye Care team continued success in their new home!

Today is OPENING DAY at Cornflower Baked Goods! We had the pleasure of officially welcoming Cornflower to the Leawood business community with a ribbon cutting last week, and judging by today’s opening…Leawood was more than ready. 🤩

We’d show you a photo of the bakery case, but there was just one problem: you all ate it. 😂👏 Cornflower sold out FAST on opening day!

From the team behind Rye, Cornflower is bringing freshly baked cinnamon rolls, pies, cakes, savory bites, coffee and plenty more goodness to Mission Farms. Find them at 10555 Mission Road, right next door to Rye.
