Benefit for Su***de Prevention
As the number of teenage su***de is rising and as the second leading cause of death for teenage children, the epidemic of teen su***de is a growing problem in today’s society. A golf tournament and auction was created in 2015 to raise money for su***de prevention and awareness with the focus on “prevention today for greater tomorrows.” This charity event has now turned into a dinner benefit and auction and is dedicated as both a memorial event and an outlet to foster communication between communities. Going into the fifth year we have been able to successfully raise over $85,000 of dollars impacting hundreds of individuals each year going to su***de prevention efforts. Specifically The American Foundation for Su***de Prevention and The Tom Karlin Foundation.
Last year was our first gala benefit, dinner, auction, and trivia night. This event was successful bringing in $25,000 with $15,000 going to various mental health and su***de prevention charities in the Kansas City area. With the positive response from last years event, we will be hosting another gala, trivia night, and auction on Friday, July 26th, 2019.
