It brings together people to foster appreciation for music culture, technology, and history. Based in Kansas City, the Center For Recorded Music (C4RM) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization celebrating the artistic, technical, and societal history of recorded music. Founded in 2020, our team of advisors and volunteers are working to build a state-of-the-art facility that will be both a cultural c

enter and living archive. The C4RM will offer world-class sound reproduction, a full range of musical exhibits, presentations, and discoveries for all ages. With musicians, educators, and industry professionals, the Center For Recorded Music creates musical journeys through high fidelity audio experiences that other institutions cannot replicate. C4RM creates an amazing place for music lovers to gather, explore, and share.

It is with a heavy heart that we share this news with you, our C4RM family. This week we lost Denny Hachenberg, a true fixture in our community of Loyal Listyners.

Many will remember being greeted by Sheila and Denny at their first Center event—whether it was at Waldo Pizza, UMKC, or The Listyning Room. While they couldn't make every single gathering, for ten years they have attended, participated, and shared their love of life and music, embracing this community as deeply as any of us. Sheila has fondly shared stories of making them get up super early to drive all the way from Chicago to KC, just so they wouldn't miss one of our programs.

Our love and support go out to Sheila and the entire family. When the time is right, we will plan a celebration of Denny's life through the music he loved, and we will share those details with everyone as soon as they are set.

Celebrate the life of Denny Hachenberg, leave a kind word or memory and get funeral service information care of McGilley State Line Chapel.
