I'm not gonna lie, the Gridiron Grunts hang out with some cool people, but none cooler than these young ones. We had a chance to hang out and play with kids enrolled in Hospice's Camp Carousel. All of these kids have tragically lost a loved one over the past year. Camp Carousel provides a time to grieve, and a time to heal. Gridiron Grunts are honored that you chose us as part of your program's healing process. Our lives are touched forever!

After the Chiefs' halftime, the Gridiron Grunts rushed over to the Boulevard Brewing Company to support Big Brothers & Big Sisters. From left to right is Gridiron Grunt John Selman, former NFLers J.C. Pearson, Chris Penn, and Shawn Barber (also a Gridirion Grunt). The event was successful signing up over 80 new adults as mentors.

The Gridiron Grunts had a great time talking about leadership to the seniors on the Blue Valley Southwest football team. Shawn was out of town, but NFL great (and one-time fastest player) Eddie Kennison did a great job. As an added bonus, NFL great Mark Simoneau is on the BVSW coaching staff. Thanks for the invite Coach Orrick and good luck this season.

My Gridiron Grunt partner, Shawn Barber, is finishing up a scouting fellowship with the Philadelphia Eagles. He's at tonight's preseason game against the Buffalo Bills at Lincoln Financial Philadelphia Eagles Stadium. He's rocking our Gridiron Grunts hat and it looks great!
