Thank you to everyone who voted to name the NDPA’s new mascot! It was close between Ripple and Finn, but Ripple won out and we couldn’t be more excited! One great comment that came from our partners D&D Technologies was “We vote for Ripple because every small action in water safety creates a ripple that can spread, save lives and help keep more families (and all people) safer around water.” WE couldn’t agree more! Thank you all for helping us create those lifesaving ripples! Welcome to the team Ripple! 🩵🐠

As we honor the brave men and women who have served our country, let us also remember to stay safe while enjoying the water this weekend.

Memorial Day officially kicks off the summer season. Please practice responsible water safety habits such as wearing U.S Coast Guard approved life jackets whenever boating, on docks and in or around open water , never swimming alone, and designating an undistracted water watcher to supervise children at all times.

Remember to use the 5 Layers of Protection:
1. Barriers and alarms
2. Supervision
3. Water Competency
4. Life Jackets
5. Emergency Preparation

Let’s honor our heroes 🇺🇸 by making water safety a top priority.

We are honored to stand alongside our National Water Safety Month partners to elevate and celebrate Water Safety this May. Please take action now to share the important and lifesaving messages that water safety is a critical safety topic and layering protections in place can prevent drowning and water related tragedies from occurring. We appreciate all the hard work that our NDPA partners and Alliance members do all year round. Thank you 🙏 Together, we are making a difference.

National Water Safety Month is made possible by a coalition of organizations dedicated to saving lives through water safety education and awareness:
