September is packed with programming, advocacy and stewardship events!

New this month: Run for Roadless group runs at select Patagonia locations. Come join RPL as we work to educate more of the running community on why protecting the Roadless Rule is critical for our community.

If you’re heading to mammoth trailfest. in a few weeks, stop by the RPL tent! We will have a nature exploration for kids of all ages and RPL Trivia on Friday.

Get involved with Runners for Public Lands!

There are many ways to get more involved on a national or local level with RPL. The easiest step to take is becoming a member. This gives you access to running brand and RPL merch discounts, and it helps us carry out our mission. You can also join the RPL Action Network to receive our monthly newsletter and get notified when there’s a specific advocacy action you can take. And we’d love to see you at a Trail Work Series near you, one of our group runs, or a special pop-up event.

The reimagined Everyone Runs Fund application period is closing tomorrow, July 31st!

This grant program was redesigned to support local leaders working to expand public land access for underrepresented runners within their communities. We are excited to award up to $10,000 to groups or individuals leading impactful community projects this September.

We are excited to announce that Runners For Public Lands has officially joined the Outdoor Alliance.

As outdoor recreation continues to grow, it’s more important than ever that the people who use and care for public lands have their collective voice heard when it comes to public land and outdoor recreation policy and decision-making. By joining Outdoor Alliance, we will strengthen our ability to advocate for both run-specific priorities and the broader recreation and conservation issues that affect all public land users.

At a time when public lands face growing challenges, bringing more outdoor communities together makes us stronger.

Together, we’ll work to protect the places we all love.
