We have some great updates and information on our next event here at the rescue.
Family Day - It was a huge success. So many little ones came to meet our rescues and feed them treats. We did lots of temporary tattoos, painting hands for father's day gifts, stick horse races, and many pony rides. Let us know what was your favorite part and any ideas for things at our next one. We will have photos from our event later on. We also raised over $700 for our hay fundraiser.
Farrier costs - At the end of our farrier day we were short $526 after that day. We did raise $255 after that so we are down to just needing $271 to finish paying that bill. If anyone wants to help us finish paying him before the animals need their feet done again we would greatly appreciate it.
Hay Fundraiser - We need to raise $60k to cover our hay for this year. After Family Day, we have raised $1375 so far and have a match for $1000 from an anonymous donor. I believe that this great community can meet that match and raise $1000 to get $2000 towards our hay fundraiser. We are also working on grants to get us there too. Remember its all for the horses, donkeys, amd goats we have here.
Next Event - Adopt-A-Hoof day is June 27th. We have 7 full size horses and 1 donkey looking for their forever home. Could that be you? If so please message us and we can get your application to adopt a rescue approved by the board before the 27th. The deadline for the applications so you can pick up your new family member on the 27th is for them to be back to us on June 24th. Please reach out if interested in more information or the application to adopt. Below is our flyer for the event. Everyone is welcome to come meet our rescues even if you cant or dont want to adopt. We do have options for boarding if needed too.
