We honored World Homeless Day by looking back at our 2024 People’s Choice Winner, Act As If..., directed by Noah Barlow. The documentary highlights the non-profit organization The Illumination Foundation, dedicated to educating on and preventing homelessness.

Today, we celebrate the educators around the world who inspire curiosity, encourage creativity, and help students see themselves and their futures in new ways. Thank you to the teachers whose dedication and compassion make a lasting difference in the lives of their students every day.

As we celebrate World Teachers’ Day, we’re also proud to recognize Ms. Lindsey Garces, a fourth-grade teacher at Ascot Avenue Elementary School, as our September Teacher Spotlight! Ms. Garces has used MY HERO in her classroom to help students explore what makes someone a hero, research people they admire, and bring those stories to life through filmmaking.
