In this dynamic musical r***e, three Divas and three singing and dancing women celebrate the music of Jerry Herman, highlighting the broad spectrum of thrilling material he wrote specifically for female performers. This Broadway hit features all the best songs for women from such immortal musicals as Mame, Hello Dolly!, Milk and Honey, Mack and Mabel, A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine, and La Cage Aux Folles.

It affectionately celebrates his special gift for writing songs that capture the true spirit of the American musical theatre. The all-female cast will remind us of how Jerry Herman has given voice to some of the most iconic roles, ballads and show-stoppers ever written for Broadway. A winner of the Tony, Grammy, Olivier, and Drama Desk Awards, Jerry Herman is the master tunesmith of our time.

Bravo to the many artists and performers who provided pre-awards entertainment—John Tynan and KXFM 104.7; Laguna JaZz Band with vocalist Ginger Hatfield; Laguna College of Art + Design students; Sawdust Art Festival artists David Fleischmann and Star Shields; First Thursdays Art Start program, Christy Miller of Art Partners and FOA artists Carol Boller, Tom Lamb, Mike Tauber and Wendy Wirth. And lastly, kudos to Master of Ceremonies Roxanna Ward, Opera Laguna and composer Aaron Zigman, Lagunatics, Lani Yamanaka of Laguna Dance, and Beth and Steve Wood for their fabulous program performances.
