At 10 years old, Penny has already beaten impossible odds. Found as a stray, she arrived at the shelter with one missing eye and the other causing her constant pain. After losing her remaining eye, she was placed on the euthanasia list just days later—but thankfully, her story didn’t end there.
Now this sweet, completely blind Maltese is looking for the patient family she deserves. Penny loves to be held, gives the sweetest kisses, is mostly potty trained, and confidently explores the world with her heart leading the way. She may be blind, but nothing stops her from loving life (or hiding treats for later!).

Brady is a 13-year-old Chihuahua who is finally getting the second chance he’s always deserved. Rescued from a hoarding situation with 18 other dogs, he’s discovering what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family.
Every day, Brady grows a little more confident. He’s enjoying short walks, taking in all the sights and smells of the world around him, and learning that new adventures can be exciting instead of scary.
His favorite place, though? Right by your side. Brady is a true little shadow who loves being close to his person and is happiest simply soaking up your company.

Blanca is an 8-year-old Chihuahua with the sweetest soul and just the right amount of sass. Rescued from a hoarding situation with 18 other dogs, she’s embracing her second chance and showing us more of her personality every day.
She loves slow, sniff-filled walks, meeting new friends, and following her favorite person from room to room. She’s independent enough to enjoy a cozy nap nearby, but always likes to know where you are. Blanca also has a hilarious playful side—you might catch her spinning like a tiny Tasmanian devil while chasing her tail! 🌪️
She’s a great little traveler, walks beautifully on leash, loves gentle pampering, and is highly motivated by snacks (so don’t leave a chair pulled out near the dinner table! 😉).
Blanca is looking for a family that will appreciate her sweet nature, her quiet confidence, and all the little moments that make her so special. We think her best chapter is just beginning. 💛

Summer☀️ has endured more than most dogs ever should. Found as a stray, she arrived at a public shelter suffering from severe skin issues, impaired vision in one eye, and an abdominal mass. After surgery and days of waiting for a family, Summer was heartbreakingly given a deadline.
Today, she’s safe with us—and her true personality is finally shining through.
Summer is a sweet, affectionate cuddle bug who loves being by her person’s side. She’s wonderful with cats, enjoys slow, leisurely walks, and is happiest lounging with the people she loves. Every day she grows more confident, and nothing melts our hearts more than the little tail wag she saves just for her humans.
This resilient little girl has overcome so much and is ready for the one thing she’s been waiting for all along: a family to call her own. 💛

When we learned about 18 dogs from a hoarding situation who had been sitting in a high-kill shelter in Palmdale for over a month, we knew we had to step in. As their story began to spread, the community rallied—many people came to meet the dogs, younger pups started finding homes, and other rescues joined the effort. But, as we so often see, the senior dogs continued to be overlooked.

Then came the heartbreaking reality: the remaining dogs were given a euthanasia deadline. With very little time to plan and knowing we had to act quickly, we made the spontaneous trip to Palmdale. Although this was something we had never done before, we said yes to every single senior dog available—because we couldn’t bear to leave one behind.

After a long drive home, each dog is now receiving extensive medical care through Rise Pet Health as they now begin their journey toward healing. Many of these dogs still have a long road ahead—medical needs, emotional recovery, and the stability they’ve never truly had.

Our founder, Amy Mack, visited the construction site of our future Unconditional Rescue Adoption Center, and we’re getting closer every day!

This new space will focus on giving senior and special needs dogs the love, care, and second chances they deserve. We’re gearing up for our summer opening and can’t wait to welcome both dogs and our community through these doors.
