Some of the most emotional and meaningful moments of Dear Mom, conference are seeing so many amazing moms take the stage to read their Dear Mom, Letters. Hearing Taylor Wheeler read hers was no exception. 🤍

Dear Mom, letters are such a special part of our conference because they’re written from one mom to another, especially those who may be newly receiving a diagnosis or trying to find their footing on this journey. They’re meant to offer experience, strength, encouragement, hope, and a reminder that no mom walks this path alone. And Taylor did exactly that.

With deep honesty and vulnerability, Taylor shared pieces of her motherhood journey, from becoming part of the lucky few club at just 23, to navigating loss, fertility struggles, and all the unexpected emotions that can come with building a family.

There was something incredibly comforting about the way Taylor spoke about motherhood not always arriving easily or looking the way we imagined, while also reminding us how deeply beautiful and meaningful the journey still becomes. So many moms saw themselves reflected in her story and found encouragement in her perspective. For that, we are truly grateful.

Taylor, thank you for sharing your heart so openly with our community. Your vulnerability, strength, and honesty created such a powerful moment for our moms, and we are beyond happy that you were part of Dear Mom, 2026! 🤍

One of the things we love most about our Dear Mom, letters is how deeply personal they are. Every mom who steps onto that stage brings a completely different story, different experiences, different fears, different joys… but somehow the feelings still connect us all. Hearing Melanie Droubay read her letter at Dear Mom, 2026 was one of those moments, and it stayed with us long after the day ended. 🤍

Melanie shared so beautifully about motherhood, about raising her son Huddy, and about navigating the early challenges that came with his Down syndrome diagnosis and congenital heart defect. As moms, hearing another mother speak honestly about the hard moments while also celebrating the joy, growth, and beauty that followed is incredibly powerful.

What stood out so much in Melanie’s words was the love and gratitude she carries for her son and the way she chooses to celebrate every milestone, big and small. Her perspective was such a meaningful reminder that our children are worthy of being fully seen, fully embraced, and fully celebrated exactly as they are.

Melanie’s vulnerability and honesty was palpable throughout her speech and we’re so grateful for the comfort, encouragement, and support she provided to so many moms simply, by sharing her truth.

Melanie, thank you for showing up and being a part of Dear Mom, 2026. Forever grateful for the reminder of the beauty that can be found even in the unexpected parts of this journey. We are so happy you were a part of the big day! 🤍

We made them for the first time at Dear Mom, conference last year and they were such a lovely addition to our conference, they instantly became tradition!!

Moms that want to participate send us a photo of their little in advance and we make them into the cutest little buttons to honor their reason for attending! Just walk in, grab a name tag, find your pin, and enjoy the day!!

Having Tiffany Sumner share at Dear Mom, 2026 was such a powerful and meaningful part of our weekend. 🤍

As a mother raising a son with profound autism, Tiffany brought such honesty, vulnerability, strength, and compassion into the room. While every diagnosis and every child’s journey can look different, there was something so deeply comforting about being reminded that so many of the emotions we carry as mothers raising children with disabilities are actually so similar. The fears, the advocacy, the exhaustion, the hope, the love. 🤍

One thing that felt especially important to us was making space for the experiences of mothers raising children with disabilities beyond Down syndrome. Not just because so many families in the Down syndrome community are also navigating dual diagnoses, but because building an inclusive world for our kids and us moms alike is a must. Cultivating true community means listening to one another, learning from each other, and recognizing the ways our stories overlap even when our paths may look a little different.

Tiffany shared her family’s journey with such courage and vulnerability, you could just feel how much her words resonated throughout the room. Her advocacy, her heart for caregivers, and her commitment to creating a more inclusive and supportive world for neurodiverse families was so inspiring. We were honored to witness!

Tiffany, thank you for showing up so fully, for sharing so openly, and for reminding all of us how important connection and community truly are. We are so grateful you were part of Dear Mom, 2026. ✨

Some speakers leave you feeling inspired. Some leave you feeling understood. Amanda Griffith-Atkins did both. 🤍

At Dear Mom, 2026, Amanda created space for moms to exhale a little. To feel seen in the overwhelm, the relationship shifts, and the complicated emotions that can come with raising a child with a disability while still trying to care for yourself somewhere in the middle of it all.

As both a licensed therapist and a mother herself, Amanda brought such a powerful mix of professional wisdom and lived experience to her sessions. Her message was honest, compassionate, validating, and deeply human… just like sitting with someone who truly understands this journey from the inside out should be.

Her talks on “How to Handle More Than You Can Handle” resonated so deeply throughout the weekend because so many moms walked into that room carrying exactly that feeling. And instead of being met with pressure to do more or be more, they were met with grace, encouragement, practical tools, and the reminder that they matter too.

Amanda, thank you for pouring into our moms with so much empathy, care, and authenticity. The conversations you started at Dear Mom, 2026 were incredibly meaningful, and we know so many women left feeling lighter, stronger, and less alone because of your words. 🤍

Kirstin Czernek joined us at Dear Mom, 2026 as a Dear Mom, letter reader. And hers was such a beautiful reminder of the many different ways families are formed through love. 🤍

Dear Mom, letters are written from one mom on the journey of raising an individual with Down syndrome to another. We find they’re especially powerful for moms who are newly receiving a diagnosis or trying to find their footing on this journey. They’re meant to offer experience, strength, encouragement, hope, and the reminder that no mom walks this road alone. Kirstin’s letter carried all of that and more.

With an open heart and so much love, Kirstin shared pieces of her family’s story, from foster care and adoption to raising her daughter Aria and later adopting another child with Down syndrome. Her love for the Down syndrome community was so deeply felt, and her words reminded our moms that while this journey can hold challenges, it also holds so much unexpected beauty, purpose, and connection.

There was something incredibly special about hearing a mother speak so honestly about the way her children changed her world, expanding her understanding of love and family. So many moms saw themselves reflected in her story and felt encouraged by her perspective and vulnerability. For that, we couldn’t be more grateful.

Kirstin, thank you for sharing your story so openly with the Dear Mom, community. Your experience, honesty, and vulnerability created such a meaningful moment for our moms, and we are so so happy that  you were part of Dear Mom, 2026! 🤍
