🔨💙 VOLUNTEER SHOUTOUT: PATRICK LANDRY! 💙🔨

For more than 10 years, Patrick Landry has faithfully given his time, talent, and plenty of hard work to Lafayette Habitat for Humanity on our construction sites! 🏠

Most recently, Patrick has been putting in the sweat at our Community Backyard, helping bring the project one step closer to completion by working on the new gazebo! 🌳🛠️

Volunteers like Patrick are at the heart of our mission. His decade of dedication has helped us build more than homes—it has helped build stronger spaces and a stronger community for the families we serve.

Patrick, thank you for showing up year after year and continuing to build alongside us. We are incredibly grateful for you! 💙

🏠 Round 2 of Healthy Homes Repair Program applications is NOW OPEN!
Lafayette Habitat for Humanity’s Healthy Homes Repair Program helps income-qualified homeowners in Lafayette’s Northside core neighborhoods make essential repairs that improve the safety, health, and integrity of their homes.

Eligible repairs may include roofing and siding, doors and windows, electrical and plumbing systems, HVAC, flooring, moisture control, and other health and safety-related repairs.

📅 Round 2 Application Period: September 1 – October 1, 2026

If you or someone you know may qualify, now is the time to apply! Please help us spread the word by sharing this post with friends, family, neighbors, and community members who could benefit from the program.

🙋 Volunteers Needed for Give Acadiana Day- This Saturday, August 8th at Cajun Dome!

Lafayette Habitat for Humanity has teamed up with Catholic Charities of Acadiana, Gifting Grace Project, Goodwill Acadiana, and Second Harvest Food Bank for one big community donation drive! Together, we'll be collecting much-needed items to support local families and neighbors across Acadiana.

We still need about 5 more volunteers per shift to help make the day a success!

Volunteer Shifts:
🕢 7:30 AM – 11:00 AM
🕚 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Volunteer Opportunities:
🚗 Direct traffic
📦 Unload & sort donations
💙 Hand out "thank you" items to donors

🫧 Catholic Charities of Acadiana - 25ft professional-grade tape measurers, 8 oz. Styrofoam cups, and gallon-size liquid laundry detergent
🎒 Gifting Grace Project - backpacks and school supplies
👚 Goodwill Acadiana - gently used clothes and household items
🛋️ Lafayette Habitat for Humanity - gently used appliances and furniture
🥫 Second Harvest Food Bank - Feeding South Louisiana - shelf stable food (canned or non-perishable)
