Artists, Educators, and Arts Organizations: Join members of the Lafayette Cultural Arts Board and the Public Art Committee for a fun networking happy hour. Whether you’re dreaming up your next project or looking for the perfect collaborating partner, this is where ideas take shape. Expect to meet arts colleagues, chat with members of the two City volunteer arts boards, learn more about City arts grants, and participate in informal networking opportunities.

Meet Malia Maunakea, a native to the island of Hawai'i, who moved to Colorado to attend CU Boulder for Civil Engineering. She's a creative and talented author, who talks about her path to becoming a published writer, including the pitfalls, challenges, and successes.

Malia is a great mentor to listen to in this ever-evolving world of publishing literature. She describes how she felt and what she had to learn to achieve her dream of combining her love of her children, writing, & entrepreneurship, to ultimately explore her personal identity through connecting with her culture, gender, & spirituality.

pARTiculars Gallery is excited to feature the work of Fiber & Ceramic Artist Suzanne Connolly Howes during the month of September with a reception on Friday, Sept. 11 from 4:30-8:30pm in the gallery located at 401 S. Public Rd. In addition, the owners of Particulars will be showcasing new work in an exhibit they are calling “Just a Little Bit of Whimsy,” through Sept. 30 to celebrate 19 years of bringing art and art experiences to Old Town Lafayette.

pARTiculars is a sponsor of Lafayette’s Art Night Out which will continue through September on the second Friday of each month and hosts additional art and live demonstrations in the tent in front of the gallery.

🧑‍🎨We invite artists of all ages and abilities to view the 2026 Art on the Street sculptures and discover inspiration for an artwork, photo, or poem.

📢Deadline for submissions is Sept. 10.

This year’s sculptures will be on display until April of 2027.

Art on the Farm is a vibrant gathering of fellow creators in the spirit of Dennis Kelly.

Dennis was an artist in every sense of the word. He lived with great passion, always making, always exploring, and always creating. He had a way of making strangers feel like friends and friends feel like family.

We are inviting emerging and established artists to apply to showcase and sell their work at the inaugural Dennis Kelly Foundation Art on the Farm event. 🎨October 10, 2026 | 11am–4pm. | Lafayette, CO

Artist fee: $30 Selected artists will receive one outdoor exhibit space, keep 100% of their sales, and should bring their own tent, table, chairs and display materials.

Applications are open Aug. 8–Sept. 15 or until spaces are filled.
