A couple of weeks ago, we hinted at some big news with Justice Takes Flight… and today, we can finally share it.
As of 6 PM last night, Justice Takes Flight is becoming something new. We are now FAMMCO (Families of Missing or Murdered Colorado).
This work has grown—far beyond what we ever imagined when it first began. And with that growth comes change. This decision didn't come lightly, but growth sometimes means stepping into something bigger than what we first imagined.
Britney, our CEO and Founder, is stepping into this next chapter alongside two incredible people. Our new Executive Director brings over 35 years of law enforcement experience and a genuine desire to bridge the gap between families and investigators. Our Director of Victim Services is one of the most dedicated advocates we have ever known—someone who has stood in the trenches with families time and time again. Britney will assume the Director of Operations role.
Over the next few weeks, you will begin to see things slowly change as we transition into FAMMCO. We ask for your patience during this time—please stay tuned, and continue using our current contact methods until we share updated information.
To everyone who has been part of Justice Takes Flight—whether you followed along, shared a flyer, volunteered, donated, or simply believed in what we were doing—thank you. There are no words that fully capture what your support has meant to us. You helped build something that truly made a difference. Please stay tuned, as we have BIG things planned.
To the families who entrusted Justice Takes Flight to help—thank you. It has been one of our greatest honors to walk beside you, even in the hardest moments. If you are currently using us for resources, someone will reach out to you shortly to help transition you to FAMMCO.
And to every volunteer—no matter how big or small your role felt—you mattered. You made a difference in someone’s story.
And while the name is changing, the heart behind it never will.
