Celebrating not one but two Atlas Free films in the Cannes Indie Short Films this week!

‘The Knight”, a half-animated story, follows a brave knight facing a dark and deceitful dragon as metaphor for the real courage of survivors of human trafficking.

“Coming Home” follows a teenage girl in a village in Thailand who accepts a job offer from her uncle in hopes of a better life, only to be trafficked.

A cutting-edge Electronic Detection K9 is now helping law enforcement uncover those devices across 14 counties in Pennsylvania, where no other ED K9 operates, so investigators can locate evidence and move cases forward faster.

In Greece, Anita*, is a single mother of four and a survivor of trafficking. A year ago, her future felt uncertain. Today, it looks like hope.

Just months earlier, she began vocational training with an Atlas Free Network Member, determined to build a different future for her family. By the end of the program, she gained new skills and received a job offer.

But progress didn’t stop there. With support from the Network Member, Anita moved into a safe apartment of her own, and her children were enrolled in school. Each step restored a sense of normalcy that once felt out of reach.

The difference between where Anita started and where she stands today is clear. Her life is no longer defined by uncertainty, but by progress, dignity, and the ability to provide for her family.

This Mother’s Day, we are proud of the mothers like Anita who are creating new futures for themselves and their children. This kind of freedom will impact generations. Happy Mother’s Day from the Atlas Free team.

Justice moved forward as a Network Member supported several major human trafficking cases that resulted in nine convictions. Three perpetrators were sentenced to four years in prison, while six recruiters and traffickers received sentences of up to eight years, along with court-ordered compensation for victims.

Beyond the courtroom, the organization partnered with the Ministry of Justice to train judges and police on trafficking laws and trauma-informed practices to strengthen the system to better identify victims and hold traffickers accountable.

A New York jury just convicted three wealthy brothers on every count in a federal s*x trafficking case, closing a decade of abuse with a verdict.
