In 2017, Aadhya* first arrived at a safe home in India after being exploited. She was a young girl searching for safety and direction.

During her time at the safe home, Aadhya participated in an advanced skills program that introduced her to the art of baking and the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Today, Aadhya is a proud graduate and the founder of her own kitchen startup, specializing in homemade cakes. Her business provides her with sustainable income and a future she built with her own hands.

Aadhya’s journey is a testament to what becomes possible when a survivor has safety, the right tools, the right support, and someone who believes in them.

Right now, communities in Nepal are reeling from severe flooding and massive landslides.

For more than seven years, Atlas Free has worked with a local organization in Kathmandu that protects children and helps them grow up safe and free from s*x trafficking. Their community is safe, but the danger is not over. Still, the team is moving into action.

The school playground and sports court have been transformed into a staging area for relief efforts, where the team is organizing aid packages, loading trucks, and transporting supplies into hard-hit areas.

Natural disasters can push already vulnerable families into even greater economic instability, creating gaps that traffickers can exploit. That’s why this work matters before a crisis ever happens. Consider this a core memory. 🎬

Last night, Atlas Free’s film, Firebird, premiered at the 22nd Annual HollyShorts Film Festival in Hollywood as an Official Selection of the festival’s Social Impact Program.

Firebird shares the courageous story of Dolma, who survived human trafficking as a young girl and now dedicates her life to helping other girls find freedom.

We’re grateful to Dolma for trusting us with her story, to Ally Global Foundation, Atlas Free’s Nepal Network Member The Apple of God’s Eyes, and Veto Agency, who helped bring Firebird to life, and to each of you who makes this work possible.

From the red carpet to the big screen, Dolma’s story is a chance to open eyes and inspire action in the fight against human trafficking. We can’t wait to share it with you once the film is released. Stay tuned!
