From the roll call room to a courtyard BBQ 🚔☀️🍔

We loved spending time with Seattle Police officers last week for an end-of-summer BBQ as a small way to show our appreciation for all their hard work and dedication.

From concerts and community events to FIFA, it was a busy summer for our officers—and we’re grateful for the countless hours they put in to keep our communities safe. This was one small way for us to honor them and simply say thank you.

A huge thank you to SPD's West Precinct for having us and to the legendary Rick for helping make it all happen!

We had an absolute blast and can’t wait to do it again! 👏🏼💙

Whether it's the trendy thing to do and everyone's doing it or we are going against the grain -- our mission is the same.

We are passionate about showing support and appreciation to law enforcement officers and their families ... no matter what.

And that'll never change because it's at the core of what we do and fuels every visit, every fundraising effort, every shopping trip and more.

So to our law enforcement community, thank you for allowing us to serve you week in and week out and through every season! 🙏🏻💙

And to SPD's South Precinct, thanks for including us in your Summer BBQ for your officers and families -- we had a blast!

SWAT SUMMER continues 🙌🏻

We last visited Valley SWAT in 2024, so we loved visiting their team again last week for one of their training days in the classroom covering all things tourniquets.

Valley SWAT is a regional tactical team composed of officers and commanders from Auburn, Federal Way, Kent, Renton, Tukwila and the Port of Seattle.

To everyone on Valley SWAT, thank you! You go above and beyond to protect the communities you serve and we cannot thank you enough for all you (and your loved ones) sacrifice to do so. We will be praying for you as you serve and hope the goodies are a tangible reminder that you are seen, valued and supported.

It’s been awhile, so we thought we’d take some time to introduce ourselves — the founding family behind Blue Hero Project 💙🚔

We’re a law enforcement family ourselves and we still consider ourselves fairly new to the LE world (Swipe to see our family photo after Davin’s academy graduation! 🥹)

Davin has worked 8-ish years at the city agency he works for outside of Seattle and while it hasn’t always been easy, our expectations for this career — and the incredible community that has come with it — have been exceeded in the best possible way.

When we got married 11 years ago, Davin was looking for ministry jobs. With his background as a Youth, College and Worship Pastor, we assumed that was how he’d always work and serve ... Then 2017 came along and it became clear that God was redirecting him toward a career in law enforcement.

We never expected to find ourselves here as a law enforcement family, but we are so grateful that God’s plans are greater than our own. Even through some really tough years, we feel incredibly honored to be part of this big blue family 💙

As an LEO wife, I spent much of 2020 praying and wondering how we could care for the law enforcement community in Seattle. It’s truly been a dream come true to watch what started as a little project grow into a nonprofit 🙌🏻😭

A few other random fun facts about us:

☕️ I LOVE coffee and love a good iced Americano with cream year-round.

👩🏼‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏻 Davin and I met through Instagram while I lived in the Seattle area and he lived outside Los Angeles.

🇰🇷 He does all the cooking in our house and makes some incredible Korean food. He also makes an amazing bowl of pho… and it is 🔥🔥

🏔️🌊 As a family, our two favorite places to rest and reset are a mountain lake over Snoqualmie Pass or Cannon Beach, Oregon.

I say it all the time, but we feel so incredibly honored to serve the LE community in this way — and we could never do it alone.

We’ve had some incredible help along the way from our team and supporters (we’ll be highlighting our team soon!), and we are so deeply grateful for every single person who has supported BHP over the past five + years.

Today, we’re lifting up law enforcement spouses in prayer.

Behind every officer is a family carrying their own weight of worry, uncertainty and sacrifice. May God strengthen every spouse, guard their heart and mind with His supernatural peace and bring comfort in the moments that feel heavy.

If you’re a law enforcement spouse, this prayer is for you. And if you know one, take a moment to pray for them today 💙

SWAT RODEO 2026 🤠🚔

We loved being out at JBLM last week for SWAT RODEO 2026 — a full day of training at Leschi Town with SWAT teams from across the region.

More than eight teams came together to work through scenarios, sharpen their skills and complete their own training requirements -- It was hot and smokey, but the teams rallied and it was an honor to provide cold drinks and snacks.

A huge shout out to Thurston County SWAT for including us and coordinating our time on JBLM and to the CID SWAT Team on JBLM for hosting an incredible day of training.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support the teams who train hard and protect their communities so selflessly. To officers and deputies from the FBI, CID SWAT, Kitsap SWAT, Valley SWAT, Tacoma Police Department SWAT, King County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, Thurston County SWAT, Seattle Police SWAT and Pierce County SWAT, thank you for having us! To our donors, thank you for making this huge haul for 100+ officers happen.
