This film challenge was created to give opportunities to those who don't usually get their shot! Each applicant has their choice of 3 roles on set and each team is led by a Film Professional guiding the team through the whole process of making a film - including an official premiere and award show in September.

Popcorn & Production Paperwork is coming up on June 30th! 🍿🖋️

Led by Assistant Director Joshua Friedman, this 90-minute Workshop / Crew Meet Up will guide attendees through the paperwork used from pre-production through wrap, helping demystify the systems that connect departments, track labor, communicate schedules, and keep productions on time and on budget.

So let's meet Joshua Friedman! Joshua is a working Assistant Director + Production Assistant in New York City. Born in Stamford, Connecticut, he moved to the state of Georgia at the age of 12 when he became interested in theatre and film, working on many productions and documentaries before studying theatre at the University of Maryland.

After graduating in 2005, he moved to NYC, where he currently resides. Over the past 3 years, Mr. Friedman has worked on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Fringe, and Gossip Girl.

Whether you're a seasoned crew member looking for a refresher or an emerging professional eager to better understand how productions operate, join Stockade Works for our next Crew Meet Up: Popcorn & Production Paperwork!

This month's session is a practical, hands-on review of the documents, workflows, and production tools that keep film and TV productions running smoothly. Led by Assistant Director Joshua Friedman, this 90-minute workshop will guide attendees through the paperwork used from pre-production through wrap, helping demystify the systems that connect departments, track labor, communicate schedules, and keep productions on time and on budget.

The evening also offers a chance to connect with fellow crew members, expand your professional network, share experiences, and strengthen the Hudson Valley film and TV .

The event is FREE to attend, but RSVP is required. All attendees will receive complimentary popcorn and a drink, along with a selection of light bites.

In this hands-on, information-rich session, you’ll learn how to shoot, light, and record high-quality interviews that look polished and sound professional.
