Meet Our Board Members: Frankie Sanvidge (he/him) 🌈💚
Frankie is a community organizer and activist from Saratoga County. He’s a founding board member of A Big Gay Market, an Albany-based nonprofit, and an active member of the ABGM advisory council, where he takes pride in finding creative solutions to development initiatives within LGBTQ+ organizations.
After becoming disabled while attending Russell Sage College in 2019, Frankie learned to ground his commitment to accessible community resources, disability justice, and LGBTQ+ organizing through service. He embraces joy as a form of q***r resistance, and on the days he isn’t experiencing health flare-ups, he purposefully channels his energy into community connection.
Frankie is also a volunteer and Novice Sister with the Empire Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the Albany chapter. As Novice Sister Hole E. Trinity, he spreads warmth and laughter while supporting local fundraising and collaborations with regional partners. ✨
Frankie has volunteered with us since 2025, helping with community projects and regular front desk shifts. He joined our Board in February 2026 and now serves as Board Secretary, while also volunteering on the Development, Small Events, Jingle Bell Dash, and Resource Directory Planning Committees.
As a transgender man, Frankie believes that access to resources and safe third spaces are lifesaving for members of the q***r community. His lived experience and grassroots training shape all of his volunteer and leadership work, and he’s honored to lead with curiosity and care.
