We tried being patient…

We know it’s still summer but can we talk about Halloween yet?! This year with the help of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts service team we’ll be prepping old doll houses and castles for them to get ready for you to decorate!

Have you always wanted to make your own haunted house or castle to display? Now you can with less prep work and a chance to win! All decorators even get to display their creations at the Whitman Public Library to show off and collect votes.

Stay tuned for signups and spread the word!

Walking into our sharing lobby to a group of soon to be moms shopping, sorting and gushing over the clothes and donations was pure joy 🤩

There’s an abundance of clothing, toys and other child rearing necessities in our community and we’re here to bring them to those in need.

Have children’s furniture, clothing or toys to donate and can’t make it out to us? BCBSMA Service Day is coming up September 17 and we’ll be out in the community picking up and delivering. Comment below and we’ll reach out to get you on our schedule!

Did you know most plastic plant pots can’t go in your recycling bin — and billions end up in landfill every year? Soule Homestead is changing that by collecting used pots for reuse saving resources and a little money. Drop yours off next time you visit. Small actions together make a big impact.

Gardeners we want your pots! We will take your donations in the barn, big please & massive thank you!!

Not your mother’s packing peanuts
Stay tuned for what we do with these tonight at a local elementary school. Better packing products also means better up-cycling supplies.

Last night was a great night for the community. A special thank you to and for hosting this amazing community project using second hand mixed media art supplies we donated for this one of a kind experience. The kids loved it, local artists received exposure and these beautiful cards will mean so much more when they head out into the community.

Snowed in? ❄️ Instead of scrolling all day, here are 3 cozy + sustainable ways to spend a snow day at home:

🌱 Upcycle & Create
Dig into your recycling bin or craft stash and make something new—cardboard sculptures, handmade cards, or DIY toys. Bonus points if kids help design it!

🕯️ Use What You Have Reset
Go through candles, soaps, or half-used products and combine, repurpose, or finally finish them. It’s oddly satisfying and reduces waste.

📦 Declutter with Purpose
Snow days are perfect for sorting closets or toy bins. Set aside items to donate, swap, or repurpose—and feel good knowing they’ll get a second life.

👉 We’ve added links below to expand on each of these ideas—and we’d love to hear yours too! Drop your favorite snow-day sustainability ideas in the comments 💬♻️

Stay warm, stay safe, and turn that snow day into something meaningful 🤍❄️

Great reminder to consume less at the beginning and when you have time, get your donations directly to people who need it whether that’s an individual, school or local organization that will use rather than resell. Thrift stores are great but not the solution, rather a convenience for all the stuff we collect.

They get absolutely inundated with donations. Stuff slips through the cracks when they're sorting it. They also toss old stock that doesn't sell. My daughter is gonna love the pencils and I'm praying to the dumpster gods for a record player.

Took the candle because we're planning to start re-pouring new candles from half used candles and broken jar candles we find at all the discount stores. If we can't figure out re-making candles then we'll do fire starters with pine cones.

Anyone see the easter egg?

One person and 45 minutes makes a big difference for kids who get to choose a treasure. We don’t get to see all the happy faces who claim these toys but love hearing from others how big of an impact this makes in sharing, teaching kids to pass on what they don’t need anymore and showing them not everything needs to be brand new or come from a store to bring joy.
