October 1st is National Black Dog Day, a day to celebrate black dogs and encourage adoption. If you have a black dog in your home, we'd love to see a photo!

Think cats are just tolerating us? Think again. 🐱 A 2019 study found that cats can form secure bonds with their humans, much like dogs do. About two-thirds of the cats in the study showed a secure attachment to their caregivers.

So maybe that aloof little face is hiding a lot more affection than we realize.

The dogs are back on the beach! 🐾☀️ There were sunny skies, happy dogs, pup cups, hot dogs for their people, and a whole lot of dog lovers at the Eastham Dog Owners Association’s Bow Wow Bash at Campground Beach.

After the summer restrictions, it was pretty clear everyone was ready to celebrate. 😂

A big thank you to longtime Sampson Fund supporter Andrea Fernandez! 🐾 Andrea recently held an Animal Lover’s Tag Sale to benefit three animal charities, and we were honored to be one of them. How lucky are we?!

We love seeing the creative ways our community comes together to support pets on Cape Cod and the Islands. Andrea turned a simple tag sale into an opportunity to help animals in need, and we are so grateful to be part of it. Have an idea for supporting The Sampson Fund? We’d love to hear it! ❤️
