Back-to-school season brings backpacks to mind first, but we are already well stocked there this year. What we could use most right now are new sneakers and sweatshirts for the kids in our programs, since a fresh pair of shoes can make the difference between dreading the first day and walking in with confidence.

Donations of new items are welcome Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 149 Bishop's Highway in Kingston. Questions about drop-off? Call us at 781-582-2010.

One of our favorite days of the year is almost here. Our Annual Luncheon returns on September 30th, from 12 to 2 PM, under the tent at East Bay Grille in Plymouth, and it is always a beautiful afternoon by the water.

This year's gathering will also honor a very special recipient of the Phyllis Hughes Award, given to someone whose generosity has shaped our work in a lasting way. This year's recipient is Laurie Caraher, VP/Branch Manager of Eastern Bank in Plymouth.
