Last night, a room full of people chose to learn how to love better. Our newest volunteers gathered for Trauma-Informed Training, ready to listen, ask honest questions and learn how to walk alongside young adults who have lived through hard things. It is more than an event. It is an invitation to slow down, listen and better understand what life can look like for a young adult aging out of foster care.

Throughout the evening, you’ll move through an immersive experience and hear honest stories from those who have lived it. You’ll leave with a clearer picture of why consistent community matters and how you can be part of it.

One last CAFO reel.

Sunday was meant to be a quick trip home, but a few flight delays made for a long travel day. So we made the most of the extra time, explored the airport a little, and finally made it back to Texas.

We loved Atlanta, but we definitely missed home. Grateful for all this week held and all we’re bringing back with us.

Day 5

The conference may be over, but the work isn’t quite done yet. We slowed down, grabbed some coffee, and spent time together dreaming, praying, reflecting on everything we’ve learned, and beginning to plan for 2027.

There is something really special about getting away from the normal day-to-day long enough to ask, “God, what are You calling us to next?”

We’re excited for what’s ahead.

Day 4
Our final day of CAFO 2026!

We wrapped up the conference with a few more sessions and conversations, then spent the rest of the day exploring Atlanta and eating plenty of really good food.

CAFO may be over, but we’re not done yet. Today we’re shifting gears into strategic planning before heading home tomorrow.
