🌟 Brownwood students are making their mark as Texas leaders!

Thank you, Brownwood News, for celebrating Madelyn Jacobson and Charlotte Myers of Brownwood ISD who spent part of their summer building leadership skills, exploring Texas history and culture, and connecting with other outstanding students from across the state through Education in Action’s Lone Star Leadership Academy.

Madelyn attended for the first time, while Charlotte returned for her second Academy experience—a great example of how leadership is a journey that continues to grow! 💙🤠

This is why we do what we do. ❤️⭐

The impact of Lone Star Leadership Academy goes far beyond a one weeklong experience in the summer.

Sebastian Carrillo returned to LSLA as a Youth Facilitator, joined the Alumni Council and turned what he learned about leadership into action by creating Kicking Down Barriers, a service project providing soccer equipment to children in Ciudad Juárez.

Seeing students take the confidence, leadership skills and desire to serve from LSLA and use them to make a difference in their communities is exactly why we do what we do.

This is leadership in action. ❤️
