Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States and honors the resilience, achievements, and contributions of Black Americans.

At The Transition Academy, we believe opportunity should be accessible to everyone. We remain committed to helping build a future where all young people have the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.

Every family deserves to fully participate in decisions about their child's future.

A Missouri mom shared this about her experience in her son's IEP meeting: "I am an educated woman and I couldn't access my own child's meeting where life-altering decisions were being made."

No family should feel excluded from that table β€” and now there's a free resource to help.

The National Association of Educational Translators and Interpreters of Spoken Language (NAETISL), in partnership with the Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council, has created the largest free repository of special education language access resources in the nation. Hundreds of special education terms translated into multiple languages, plus fact sheets, audio, videos, and more β€” all free, all in one place.

If this could help a family you know, please share. It's only useful if people know it exists. πŸ‘‡
