Today was one of those days that reminds me how blessed I am.

We started the day after church at the park serving meals to those in need. The turnout was incredible—the line seemed never-ending. Seeing so many people come together to help and support our community fills my heart with gratitude. I’m truly thankful that we have the opportunity to do this every Sunday.

Later, we attended an NA meeting at Church of the Resurrection Brookside. The topic was the Triangle of Self-Obsession—fear, resentment, and anger. It led to some powerful and honest conversations about the things we all struggle with and the ways we continue to grow.

I left feeling inspired by the courage, honesty, and growth I see in our AHH family. Watching people work through challenges, support one another, and continue moving forward in recovery is something special.

Grateful for a day of service, fellowship, recovery, and growth. ❤️ AMEN!

Today I got the chance to check out Jake’s new house, and I couldn’t be more proud of him. The house is beautiful, and it’s awesome to see all of his hard work paying off.

There’s nothing better than seeing my AHH team reach their goals and build something for themselves. Wishing Jake many years of happiness and great memories in his new home. Proud of you, brother! Amen!

Had such a great time celebrating Dave and Danielle at their baby shower today! Everything was absolutely beautiful. The cake looked amazing, the food was delicious, and the decorations were perfect. You could really see all the love and hard work that went into making the day so special.

Wishing Dave and Danielle all the best as they prepare to welcome their little one into the world. Excited for this next chapter in their lives! Always wonderful to see my AHH team continue growth in life. Amen!

Thank you so much to 100 Good Women for giving us the opportunity to share how Artists Helping the Homeless serves Douglas County! 🤝 ❤️

We are always better as a community when service agencies come together to collaborate, share resources, and support each other's causes. It’s through this kind of collective dedication that we can truly provide the best possible support for our most vulnerable neighbors.

Thank you for all the incredible work you do in Lawrence, and for lifting up other local organizations alongside your own!

Tonight was an amazing experience at the Memorial Day celebration at Liberty Memorial and Union Station. Hearing Mayor Quinton Lucas speak so highly of Kansas City was inspiring, and the Kansas City Symphony put on an incredible performance. The fireworks were absolutely amazing, but one of the best parts was seeing so many people gathered together to honor and celebrate our military.

So grateful to live in a city that comes together like this. Huge shoutout and thank you to all of our troops and veterans for your service and sacrifice. 🇺🇸

On top of all the celebrations what a wonderful night to spend with my AHH team from KC and LAWRENCE. AMEN!

Today we had an amazing meeting at Kahana House with everyone from AHH, and the topic was “What success looks like to each of us.”

It was truly inspiring hearing everyone share what they want out of life, their dreams, goals, and what they’re working toward. Success looks different for every person, and hearing the honesty, growth, and determination from everyone in the room was powerful.

One of the best parts was hearing how people are actively achieving their individual goals and continuing to push forward no matter what obstacles they’ve faced. So grateful to be surrounded by people who support one another, encourage growth, and continue striving to become the best version of themselves.

Recovery, hope, and community are a beautiful thing. Proud of everyone in that room today. Amen!

Today was a powerful reminder of what really matters. We started the morning at Church of the Resurrection Leawood, and the message was all about loving one another and treating people the way we would want to be treated.

After service, we headed to the Plaza to feed the homeless, and the turnout was incredible. By the end of the day, we had given out 120 meals. I’m beyond grateful to have been part of something that could be of support to so many people today.

Moments like this remind me how important kindness, compassion, and community truly are. So thankful for everyone who helped make it happen. ❤️ Amen!

Tonight we went to Another Chance Concert 2026, and Donald Mote absolutely put on an amazing show. It’s incredible seeing the progress he has made over the years and the positive impact he continues to have on so many people.

Donald is truly a pillar of the community, and it means a lot for the guys from AHH to see someone with lived experience turn their life around and show that the possibilities are endless. Stories like his give people hope and remind us all that change is possible.

Very thankful we all got the opportunity to go tonight and be part of such a powerful and inspiring evening.

Barbie Miller gave an absolutely amazing share tonight at Another Chance Concert 2026. Hearing her speak about her discipline, growth, and faith was incredibly powerful and inspiring.

She is truly a pillar of this community. Everything she does for others shows the love, compassion, and dedication she has for helping people. You can tell her heart is fully invested in making a difference and lifting others up.

Stories and messages like hers remind people that growth is possible, faith can carry you through hard times, and a life of purpose can come from lived experience. Very grateful we got to hear her speak tonight.

AMEN!
