Back in the saddle. Bob Bondurant started the engine of Steve Volk's FIA Shelby Cobra this morning on the show field of Art of the Car Concours at the Kansas City Art Institute. Bondurant raced this car several times in 1965 and was instrumental in winning the Manufacturer's GT Championship. The Concours is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Today's Meet the Legends panel was an amazing event.
From left: Michael T. Lynch, Peter Brock, Bob Bondurant, Pat Bondurant, Steve Volk and Allen Grant shared intriguing stories of racing Shelby Cobras and the Shelby Daytona Coupe, both of which will be on the show field tomorrow. Fifty years after scoring a 1-2-3 victory in the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ford once again battled Ferrari but won the LM GTE Pro class with the new Ford GT. Next week the Art of the Car Concours will celebrate Ford's Le Mans win with a display of historic Ford-powered racing cars including a 1968 Gulf Mirage GT 40, Shelby Daytona coupe and Jimmy Clark's Lotus 34 Indy. Saturday's Meet the Legends panel discussion will feature Peter Brock, Bob Bondurant, Allen Grant and Steve Volk.
