Be advised that Penn Valley Park will likely be closed to support FanFest.

For the safety of park patrons and the resources that will be put towards FanFest, DIG board members voted to ask Parks and Rec to close our park for the duration of FanFest.

🌧️ Event Update: Disco Monster Mash Cancelled 🌧️

Hey friends — unfortunately, due to today’s weather and park conditions, we’re going to have to cancel our Disco Monster Mash event. The ground is just too soggy for a safe (or fun!) time for our pups and people.

We’re so disappointed to miss out on all the costumes, music, and tail wags — but the safety and comfort of our community (and dogs!) come first. 💛

Stay tuned for a rescheduled event date or another fun opportunity to gather soon! We appreciate everyone who planned to come out, volunteer, or donate — your support means the world to DIG and Penn Valley Off Leash Dog Park.

Stay dry, give your pups some extra snuggles, and we’ll see you soon! 🐾💃🕺

📢 EVENT CANCELLATION NOTICE 📢

Due to the severe weather and flash flood threat forecasted for our area (see attached National Weather Service alert), we are cancelling the Tiki Pool Party at Penn Valley Off-Leash Dog Park.

🌧️ The safety of our pups and community always comes first, and with heavy rain, flooding risks, and potential wind gusts of up to 55 mph expected, we feel it’s best to stay safe and dry.

We know this is a bummer, but we’ll be looking to reschedule a fun day once the weather clears up. Stay tuned for updates, and please stay safe out there! 💙🐾

Do you love dogs, community, and organizing fun events? DIG Penn Valley is seeking a dedicated

Community Partner Volunteer to help us grow our impact!

This volunteer will:
✅ Reach out to local vendors and businesses for fundraiser support
✅ Keep track of outreach in an Excel sheet (contacts, donation status, etc.)
✅ Help us build stronger connections and bring in awesome items for raffles, giveaways, and events!

This role is perfect for someone organized, outgoing, and excited about community engagement. 🐶

DIG Penn Valley is looking for outgoing, dog-loving volunteers to join our Street Team — a group of friendly faces who help spread the word about our mission right at the park!

As part of the Street Team, you'll:
