There’s a moment in every concert that never gets old for me.

It’s not the final chord. It’s not the applause.

It’s that instant just before the first breath the group takes together. Singers and audience in the same room, all leaning into the same moment. For me, concerts have very little to do with performing and everything to do with connecting—singers to the music, to each other, and to the audience, in the hope that the music connects with them.

That’s choral music at its best. Connection.

At Master Chorus Eastside, we’re not just preparing notes and rhythms. We’re building something that only exists when people show up to create and receive it. And that includes you.

As we prepare for our final concert of the season, This Is Our Song, I’m reminded that the title isn’t poetic language. It’s the truth. This music belongs to all of us. The singers give it voice. The audience gives it life, and your support makes it possible.

GiveBIG is here, and I’m asking you to be part of what we’re building. Not just a concert, but a community where music is done well in a way that truly feeds people’s souls.

If what we do has ever moved you or stayed with you longer than you expected, I invite you to help us keep going.

A generous supporter has pledged to match the first $1,000 in donations to MCE. Make your gift today and be part of the next breath we take together.

With gratitude, Michael Austin Miller Artistic Director Master Chorus Eastside

What does home mean to you?
Home is more than a place. It is the warmth of familiar voices, the comfort of belonging, the memories carried in melody, and the feeling of being welcomed just as you are.
Home is the sound of laughter around a table, the quiet peace after a long journey and the music that reminds us where our hearts rest.

We invite you to a concert of choral music that celebrates this beautiful idea of home.
‘Songs That Feel Like Home’ will share music that evokes comfort, nostalgia, community and hope — songs that remind us of the people and places that shape us.

Whether you come with family, friends or on your own, we hope this afternoon of music will feel like coming home. We can’t wait to welcome you!

Tickets are available at MasterChorusEastside.org, or at the door.

What a beautiful way to begin our season! 💛

We are overflowing with gratitude after our first concert, Tidings of Light. Thank you to everyone who joined us and shared in an afternoon filled with warmth, hope, and music. Your presence, generous support, and enthusiastic applause truly helped the light shine brightly for our singers and musicians.

Heartfelt thanks as well to our stellar artistic team (Michael and Nathan), dedicated chorus members, incredible volunteers, an engaged Board, and generous sponsors who worked so hard to bring Tidings of Light to life. It truly takes a community to share music that lifts and inspires.

We are feeling energized as we look toward our next concert (March 22nd at 3pm), and we can’t wait to share more music with you soon. Thank you for being part of our chorus family! ✨🎶

✨ It’s Giving Tuesday! ✨
And today, your support for Master Chorus Eastside can go TWICE as far.

As our Artistic Director Michael Austin Miller shared, what makes MCE so special isn’t just the music—it’s the heart behind it. Every week, our singers come together from different walks of life, open their folders, breathe together, and create something bigger than any one voice.

Choral music gives us common ground.
It gives us unity of purpose.
And that unity becomes community.

If ever our world needed more of that… it’s now. 💛

🎶 This Giving Tuesday, a generous donor is MATCHING the first $1,000 donated—dollar for dollar.
That means your gift today goes twice as far in helping us:

• Bring imaginative, beautifully crafted concerts to the Eastside
• Program diverse, boundary-expanding repertoire
• Build deeper connections with our community
• Support the singers who devote countless hours to this work

If Master Chorus Eastside has inspired you, moved you, or brightened your day, we invite you to join us in shaping the season ahead.
