Congratulations to ISF grant recipients, Kyle Smith and Gretel von Bargen of Skyline High School! Your ISF support will help provide these classrooms with supplemental graphic novels for a Senior English elective class and equipment for students to conduct authentic ecological research, respectively. Four weeks ago nearly 500 people packed into the Issaquah Community Center to send our Issaquah School District students a clear message - we've got you!

Attendees were treated to interactive program showcase displays giving a taste of just some of the ways in which Foundation donors create opportunity for students.

Three particular programs were highlighted from the stage
🍎The Career Kickstart Summer Internship Intensive
🍎Microschools in Middle Schools
🍎The AMIRA AI Reading Tool

Each of these were fully funded by Foundation donors as pilot programs, allowing district partners to test and refine them in order to determine results and potential for expansion. The stories told by students, educators and even one mom showed just what this funding made possible. As Impact Scholarship winner Sophia Sun shared "You opened a door. I walked through it. Thank you."

That's what your support does - opens doors to students in every school, from kindergarten to cap and gown. And the possibilities created when those doors are opened are endless.

💙May is Mental Health Awareness month💙

Our students are carrying a lot. According to the CDC, 2 in 5 high schoolers report persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness. Over half of public schools have seen a rise in students seeking mental health services this school year. And for those who need support, navigating the complicated maze of care can be overwhelming.

That's why we're proud to share that, thanks to the generous support of Foundation donors, ALL students, families, and staff in our district have FREE access to Care Solace.

🔹 What is Care Solace?
Care Solace is a confidential care coordination service that quickly connects you to mental health, substance use, and social service providers in our area — regardless of your insurance status, financial situation, or schedule.

🔹 Who is it for?
Every student. Every family member. Every staff member. No exceptions.
