Pet Network Humane Society and Washoe Animal Services are excited to partner together to make reunifying lost pets with their families easier and more convenient in the Incline Village community.
Through this partnership, Pet Network Humane Society will shelter found pets brought in by Good Samaritans. Found reports and photos will continue to be posted on the WCRAS website, and the standard five-day stray hold will remain in place. If a pet is not reclaimed, Pet Network Humane Society will have the opportunity to place the animal for adoption or WCRAS will retrieve the pet.
This collaboration keeps lost pets closer to home, provides a more convenient reclaim process for families, and allows Animal Services Officers to spend less time transporting animals and more time responding to calls throughout the community.
If you find a friendly pet in the Incline Village area and can safely transport it, please contact Pet Network Humane Society to arrange a drop-off. If the animal is injured, loose, poses a safety concern, or cannot be safely transported, please contact Washoe County Regional Animal Services for assistance. This agreement is limited to dogs and cats only.
This partnership is a win-win for pets, their families, and our organizations. By working together, we can better serve our community while creating more opportunities to reunite lost pets with the people who love them.
