We have 200 plus participants & provide scholarships through our Steiner Scholarship Fund to include all kids. One of the DPSEF’s goals is to provide youth in the community with the opportunity to train and compete in Winter sports to the best of their ability. the Steve Steiner Memorial Fund, established by DPSEF to honor Steve after he passed away from liver disease in January 2014. Steve had been a resident of Incline Village, NV for the past 20 years. Steve’s passion, commitment and love for skiing naturally drew hundreds into his sphere of influence. Steve had the unique ability to always make his friends feel appreciated, special and loved. Steve’s nick name was Big Daddy and over the past two decades, many enjoyed chasing and finding amazing ski days and experiences with Steve all over the Tahoe Basin and beyond. The memorial fund was created in memory of Steve and help further his passion for skiing. The goal of the memorial fund remains to support and advance youth skiing and help create lifelong skiers in honor of Steve.
