🌲 Day 5: Finishing Strong

We wrapped up an incredible week of Mindfulness Mini-Camp with one final adventure at Tahoe Treetop Adventure Park.

To make sure every camper had a challenge that matched their age and abilities, we split into two groups. Our older campers took on the Tahoe Treetop Adventure Course, pushing themselves outside their comfort zones as they climbed, balanced, and cheered one another on through the ropes course.

Meanwhile, our younger campers became course designers! Together, they imagined, built, and completed their own obstacle course, encouraging each other every step of the way. Their creativity, teamwork, and excitement reminded us that adventure comes in many forms.

We ended the day by finishing our Pebble Books, reflecting on everything we learned throughout the week, and celebrating the friendships, confidence, and courage that grew over the course of camp.

A huge thank you Tahoe Treetop Adventure Park for partnering with us and providing such a memorable experience for our campers. We are also incredibly grateful to our volunteers, families, and community partners who helped make this week possible.

Watching campers leave with new friendships, greater confidence, and a deeper connection to the outdoors is exactly why we do this. Thank you to everyone who helped make this week so special. We can’t wait for the next adventure! 💙🌲

🚣 Day 4: Truckee River Rafting

One of our favorite parts of camp is creating opportunities for kids to slow down and connect with nature.

Floating the Truckee River gave campers time to laugh together, notice the world around them, and experience mindfulness in one of Tahoe’s most beautiful places. It was a day filled with teamwork, adventure, and plenty of smiles.

Thank you to The Riverman • Truckee River Rafting for helping make this experience possible and for creating such a memorable adventure for our campers.

We appreciate everything you do for our community!

🚵 Day 3: Mountain Biking with Tahoe XC

Looking back on our third day of Mindfulness Camp, we’re reminded that courage often looks like trying again.

Whether campers were learning to shift gears, tackling a new trail feature, or encouraging a friend, mountain biking challenged everyone to step outside their comfort zone. It was amazing to watch confidence grow throughout the ride as campers celebrated each other’s successes and discovered what they were capable of.

A huge thank you to Tahoe XC for partnering with us and leading such an incredible mountain biking experience. We are especially grateful to Dave for sharing his knowledge, patience, and enthusiasm with our campers. His encouragement helped create a fun, supportive environment where every camper could learn and grow.

Thank you for helping our campers build confidence, resilience, and a love for exploring the outdoors on two wheels. 🚵💙

⛵ Day 2: Sailing on Lake Tahoe

One of the most memorable moments of camp was spending an afternoon sailing on beautiful Lake Tahoe.

Campers learned the basics of sailing while practicing teamwork, communication, and trust. For many, it was their first experience on a sailboat, and it quickly became one of the highlights of the week.

A heartfelt thank you to Lake Tahoe Sailing for partnering with us and making this unforgettable experience possible. We are especially grateful to Tasha for teaching our campers how to sail with so much patience, encouragement, and enthusiasm. Thank you also to Nick for helping create such a fun, welcoming, and supportive experience for everyone on the water.

We’re so grateful for your partnership.

🛶 Day 1: Kayaking with Tahoe City Kayak

We’re looking back on an incredible week of Mindfulness Mini-Camp, starting with our first adventure on Lake Tahoe.

Campers kicked off the week by exploring the lake by kayak, learning new paddling skills, building confidence, and beginning to form friendships that would grow throughout the week. For many campers, it was their first time in a kayak, and watching them gain confidence with every paddle stroke was a highlight of camp.

A huge thank you to Tahoe City Kayak for partnering with us and helping make this experience possible. We are especially grateful to our guide, Si, whose patience, encouragement, and love for Lake Tahoe made the day unforgettable.

Thank you for helping our campers begin the week with courage, curiosity, and connection. 💙
