Los Perros Perdidos Foundation

Los Perros Perdidos Foundation Working to help the street dogs in Mexico...four paws at a time. Los Perros Perdidos Foundation was started by Toree Warfield and Karin Jakobsmeier in mid2022.

Karin has been capturing and rescuing street dogs in Cancun for more than 10 years on her
own, often rehabilitating animals at her home. Toree came to Cancun in March of 2022 with the
idea of trying to help dogs there. The two women connected and began to devise a more farreaching plan to help even more dogs. (1) Karin had been conducting spay/neuter clinics in various neighborhoods with good
resu

lts. She promoted and managed these events herself. But often wished that she had a
mobile van, able to travel about to the neighborhoods. And this idea has become one of
our goals. (2) The second goal of our organization is to create a sanctuary for street dogs, where they
can convalesce after being spayed/neutered; and where they can be treated for various
ailments that are common to street animals. (3) Our third goal is to rehome these animals; including arranging transportation of
rehabilitated and socialized dogs to the United States and Canada for adoption.

🐾 MEGAN’S JOURNEY: FROM CANCÚN TO TAHOE ❤️

Megan was found in Cancún, Mexico as a tiny puppy. We knew from the beginning that she was going to be a big girl, and we also knew she deserved a big life. ❤️

So we prepared her for a journey that would change everything.

Megan flew from Cancún to Tahoe, where she found a family who opened their hearts and home to her. ✈️🏡

Almost three years later, Megan is thriving. She is happy, loved, playful, and living the full life we always dreamed she would have.

She didn’t just find a home.
She found her people. She found her place. She found her life. ❤️

Stories like Megan’s are why we rescue. Because every dog deserves the chance to leave behind abandonment and uncertainty and discover what it means to truly belong.

From a little puppy on the streets of Cancún…
to a happy girl living her best life in Tahoe. 🐶❄️

This is what rescue looks like. This is why we never give up.

❤️ I am too cute for words! And a handful. 😂 Lab/Greyhound mix, 48 lbs, 1 year old, vaxxed, neutered. Good on leash and off. Housetrained. He is the sweetest dog. Good with other dogs, people, kids and cats. He was rescued from a shelter when he was running out of time. He's been hanging at Tahoe, undergoing basic training and learning how to be a dog. Please call his sponsor to set up a meet: Toree (775) 772-9452

💙 This beautiful boy was wandering the streets of Cancun, begging for help. Several tourists noticed him, contacting us, asking for help. They were able to capture him and get him to the vet. Paws in Action fostered him for a year while he recovered from his ordeal until we decided to send him to the states to seek his forever home.
💙 He's at Tahoe, looking for love! He's incredible--so well behaved. He's good with dogs, kids, people and cats. This black lab mix is 38 lbs, vaxxed, chipped and neutered. He's READY for YOU! To set up a meet, please call his sponsor, Toree 775.772.9452. He is going to make someone very lucky.

Black lab mix rescue dog for adoption!
This beautiful boy was rescued from the streets of Cancún. He was so skinny, but so friendly, the tourists contacted us and convinced us that he was worth saving so they helped us capture him. He spent a year in our shelter in Cancún. Then he got to take a plane ride to Los Angeles where I picked him up and brought him to Lake Tahoe.
He’s 40 pounds, vaccinated, neutered, and micro chipped. He is so well-behaved, he’s a gem. Please contact me if you are interested in adopting him. Toree 775-772-9452.

This is what we do. Incredible story of love, happiness and successful rehoming of a dog who deserved better. ❤️
