Los Perros Perdidos Foundation

Los Perros Perdidos Foundation Working to help the street dogs in Mexico...four paws at a time. Los Perros Perdidos Foundation was started by Toree Warfield and Karin Jakobsmeier in mid2022.

Karin has been capturing and rescuing street dogs in Cancun for more than 10 years on her
own, often rehabilitating animals at her home. Toree came to Cancun in March of 2022 with the
idea of trying to help dogs there. The two women connected and began to devise a more farreaching plan to help even more dogs. (1) Karin had been conducting spay/neuter clinics in various neighborhoods with good
resu

lts. She promoted and managed these events herself. But often wished that she had a
mobile van, able to travel about to the neighborhoods. And this idea has become one of
our goals. (2) The second goal of our organization is to create a sanctuary for street dogs, where they
can convalesce after being spayed/neutered; and where they can be treated for various
ailments that are common to street animals. (3) Our third goal is to rehome these animals; including arranging transportation of
rehabilitated and socialized dogs to the United States and Canada for adoption.

This is what we do. Incredible story of love, happiness and successful rehoming of a dog who deserved better. ❤️

💙 This big boy is looking for his forever home. He is super sweet, very well trained. He’s working on learning to live with cats, but we have a ways to go. 😂 775.772.9453

Sterilization Saves Lives — Help Us Change Their Future 🐾

Spaying female dogs is one of the most effective ways to reduce overpopulation and suffering. In Cancún alone, there are an estimated 200,000 dogs struggling to survive on the streets — and every sterilization makes a real difference.

Today, these two beautiful white girls got a second chance:
✨ One arrived pregnant.
✨ The other was already in heat.
Both are now safely spayed, preventing more unwanted litters and breaking the cycle of abandonment.

Behind every surgery there are medical costs, transportation, recovery care, and lots of love from our team. This work is only possible thanks to conscious, compassionate people who believe in long-term solutions.

🙏 We invite you to make a conscious donation — not just to help two dogs, but to help stop overpopulation at its root.

Every contribution helps us continue sterilizing, rescuing, and giving hope where it’s needed most.

DOGS OUT OF THE STREET IN CANCÚN

This sweet boy was found wandering the streets…
Anemic, full of illnesses, weak, and desperately searching for food. 💔
But even with everything he had been through, he wagged his tail when we approached him.

We took him in, got him vetted, and he’s finally receiving the medical care, love, and safety he never had. 🌿❤️

Now, all he needs is a home — a family who will show him that the world can be kind, that his little life matters, and that he’ll never have to fend for himself again.

✨ He deserves a second chance.
If you’d like to adopt him or know someone who might, please send us a message.
Sharing also helps him more than you imagine.

Let’s help this brave survivor finally find the love he has always deserved. 🐾💕
