One of our favorite things to watch is our youth leaders getting involved and shining in organizations throughout our community!

Last week, Gabriel Marcum had the incredible opportunity to serve as a youth speaker at the Drug-Free Kids Campaign Awards Dinner in Washington, D.C. This week, we also had the opportunity to watch him speak at the annual conference for FCCLA!

We love seeing our youth leaders use their voices, share their passions, and make a difference beyond Rise Up Reno.

Hutch, the best part of Feel Fest is still ahead of you!✨

From 1:00 to 4:45 this afternoon, 1st Street in front of the Fox fills up with booths and free workshops. Paint a leaf for the grief tree that will be planted right here in Hutchinson. Grab the open mic and say the thing out loud.

Then at 5:00, step inside the Historic Fox Theatre for The Wisdom of Trauma, followed by a panel conversation about what healing looks like in our own community. We’ll close the night by lighting candles together for the people we carry with us, and end with a showing of Coco.

Booths & workshops: 1:00 to 4:45 PM, 1st St in front of the Fox🧠

Film, panel & candle lighting: 5:00 PM, Historic Fox Theatre🕯️

📣 If you work with kids, this class is for YOU!

We are excited to welcome Sydney Winslow, LPC to the Mary Magdalene House! She will be sharing practical ways to better understand kids’ behavior and how we can respond in ways that help them grow and feel safe.

Understanding why kids behave the way they do can make a huge difference—whether you’re a parent, teacher, social worker, foster parent, church volunteer, or anyone who works with children.

❤️ Please help us spread the word! Share this post with someone who works with or cares for kids. We want to make sure this opportunity reaches as many people as possible.

Free class • Dinner provided • Everyone is welcome!

Come learn, connect, and leave with tools you can use right away.
Registration can be done at www.marymagdalenehouse.com/events

Today is National Family Day. You don't need an entire evening to connect.
- Ask about the best part of their day.
- Tell them something you appreciate about them.
- Share a funny memory.
- Put your phones away and just talk.
- Make a family bucket list.

Five minutes of connection can make a difference. Because sometimes, the little moments become the ones that matter most. 💙

Today was a great day spent with the Haven High School Youth Leaders!

They helped the Reno County Su***de Prevention Coalition place flags for last week of Su***de Prevention Month, then headed over to Ad Astra Radio - Hutch to record a commercial!

Back at the office, they learned more about prevention, mapped risk and protective factors in their school, and brainstormed positive ideas to bring back to their school and community. Thanks for spending the day with us! 💙
