Junior high campers trekked to a spot along Cow Creek for an outdoor chapel this evening! We’re grateful for a break from the heat as clouds rolled in and cool wind arrived. One of our speakers this week is John Walker. He is sharing about 1 Peter and what the Lord desires for us as we press on! Praise the Lord for a chance to sit in nature and soak up His Word!

Who was your first counselor? 🤔

Grade School 1 Counselors were a joy! These 21 teenagers came off of LTC eager and excited to counsel! At KBC, our counselors go through two years of training in gospel content and sharing so they're ready for those one-on-one conversations about eternal things!

The counselors live in the dorms with the campers, attend camper chapels, turn off lights at bedtime, help tie shoelaces and find missing flip flops, listen to their memory verses, and play the games with the campers. They build relationships and memories and get to share Jesus with them as an extension of that friendship.

There were many professions of faith this past week, and we love that God allows these teenagers a front row seat to watch Him work.

"How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, 'HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!'” -Romans 10:14-15

We finished Leadership Training Camp yesterday! We had a record-setting 190 people in attendance. As a result of having this many souls on campus, we got to repurpose some of the spaces to accommodate everyone. A 98" screen was mounted in the 6000 ft² Pavilion to host outdoor chapels all week, and the indoor chapel served as a second dining room for campers. Well over 2000 man hours were spent on Work Projects and training of how to do the various jobs around the campus. Over 3700 meals (plus snacks) were served to our hungry campers. Jeremy Goering, Nathanael Hawkinson, and George Farber spoke a total of 18 messages from the Word of God, and John Denny shared his vision for the camp through his 4 rules. We had Special Op Ops, Moments with Andrew, a fire and tornado drill, and three specialized Workshops for further training. Campers were dispersed into 20 squads for small-group discussion, sharing testimonies, and role-playing sharing the gospel. And as a bonus, we got to witness a declaration of faith and a baptism Friday night!

We are so grateful for your prayers and for the Lord's provision. "Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21

If you are packing your bag for Leadership Training Camp, please check your email for some very helpful information (if we do say so ourselves 😉).

If you are praying for Leadership Training Camp, please continue! We have 193 campers attending this week of training for being on staff, which has caused us to need to rethink spaces and places to accommodate a program this large! We are so grateful for the 73 first-year staff members, 58 Squad Leaders, 4 speakers, and everyone else who will be here and make this week of training run smoothly.

See you Sunday for Registration, LTC'ers! 👏🏻

Many from our Board of Directors gathered together at our East Campus to pray Saturday morning. We prayed specifically for the people serving this summer at Kansas Bible Camp. We had slides with photos of each person committed to serving in one of these specific roles as well as a time of prayer for those too many to apply to a slide (campers and staffers). We concluded by praying for the following items in more general terms as we don't know what this summer or future holds:

• Good Standing with the Government and Officials
• Reputation in the Community
• Protection from Natural Disasters (flood, tornadoes, fire, etc.)
• Safety during Work and Play
• Accurate Representation from AI and technology
• Protection from Illness and Pests (lice, bed bugs, viruses etc.)
• Continued Function of Facilities (pool especially!)
• Financial Provision

Would you please pray with and for us for the summer ahead and the many souls that will come? We are sure the Lord has a good work to do this summer, and we can't wait to see Him do it!
