SERVICE DASHBOARD | Women’s Health Training

Every statistic tells the story of women whose lives may be forever changed through prevention, education, and early intervention. 💜

This week in Playa Grande Ixcán, Quiché, our Women’s Health Training initiative reached 936 women through VIA screenings, providing critical access to cervical cancer prevention services in communities where healthcare is often difficult to reach. Of those screened, 22 women received treatment, ensuring timely care when it mattered most.

The impact extends far beyond the patients seen today. Through hands-on training, 27 healthcare professionals were certified in VIA screening techniques, and 9 were certified in thermocoagulation, equipping them with the skills to continue serving women in their own communities long after this week ends.

When local providers gain knowledge, entire communities gain hope. Together with Club Rotario Guatemala La Reforma y Rotary Club of Calgary Downtown we are strengthening access to women’s healthcare and creating a future where more women have the opportunity to receive the care they deserve. 🇬🇹✨

Behind every warm meal, every freshly folded blanket, every clean and welcoming space at Casa de Fe, there is a team pouring their hearts into serving others.

Their work may happen quietly behind the scenes, but the impact they make is deeply felt by every patient who walks through our doors. From preparing food with care, maintaining a safe and comforting environment, and greeting each person with a smile, they help transform Casa de Fe into a true home away from home.

Their roles may seem simple to some, but the love, dignity, and compassion they bring to their work every single day is extraordinary. The moment the doors open at Casa de Fe, their kindness shines through in every interaction.

Today, we honor and celebrate those who make healing feel a little warmer and hope feel a little closer.

Thank you for all that you do for our beloved patients. 💛

Before sunrise, they began a journey of more than 12 hours crossing long roads and remote terrain with one purpose: making sure women are not forgotten. 💜 Between 27 nurses and doctors from Guatemala united by one purpose: learning the IVAA technique to bring lifesaving women’s healthcare back to their communities.

This week in Playa Grande Ixcán, Quiché, healthcare professionals from across Guatemala are training together to strengthen cervical cancer prevention efforts and serve nearly 800 women from remote villages.

For many women, access to preventive care is limited by distance, resources, and opportunity. Through this training, these providers are helping change that reality bringing education, early detection, and compassionate care closer to home.

Every lesson learned, every mile traveled, and every patient served is part of a greater mission: ensuring women in rural communities are seen, cared for, and protected.🇬🇹✨

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication will never be forgotten.

At Faith In Practice, we are grateful for the freedoms we enjoy because of those who served with honor and gave everything for others. May we carry their legacy forward with compassion, service, and gratitude. ❤️

This Memorial Day, we remember. We honor. We give thanks.

At Faith In Practice, we have learned that serving is more than helping… it is giving your time, love, and heart. 💙

Every experience, every patient, and every story leaves a lasting mark on our lives. Because many times, we come thinking we are here to give, but in the end, we receive so much more.

Here, we discovered that serving transforms, inspires, and fills the soul. Women who lead with their hearts, inspire through example, and serve with passion. 🙌✨

We thank God for the opportunity to be part of this mission, for teaching us to value what we have and share it with those who need it most.

Serving at Faith In Practice not only changes lives… it changes ours too. 💫

Beneath the trees of the hospital courtyard, little Yeicob rested peacefully in his mother’s arms, unaware that this week would begin changing his future. 💙

At only 11 months old, Yeicob was born with syndactyly in both hands and polydactyly in his feet. To him, his tiny hands are all he has ever known. But without surgery, simple childhood milestones like counting, holding a pencil, or grasping his mother’s hand could become difficult as he grows.

This week, Drs. Ben and Janae Kittinger performed the first surgery to separate his webbed fingers. The beginning of a long healing journey that will give Yeicob greater freedom, mobility, and opportunity as he grows.

Because of donors like YOU, children like Yeicob are given the chance to thrive, dream, play, and experience childhood with new possibilities ahead of them.

A special thank you to Team T. Davis 906, and to Michelle and Daniel Montes, whose storytelling and photography helped bring Yeicob’s journey to life. 💛
