Alpha Kappa Alpha- Sigma Theta (Houston Baptist University) Since 1908, the sisterhood of Alpha Kappa Alpha has responded to the world’s increasing complexity.

Alpha Kappa Alpha is the oldest Greek-letter organization established in America by Black college women. , a significant and inspiring reflection of the emergence of a dynamic group in a changing culture. Sigma Theta’s Graduate advisor Dr. Dontee Lewis took the time out of her day to honor the graduating seniors by placing yard signs in front of each of their homes. Each and every Senior wants to say, “THANK YOU” for finding a way to honor us during this difficult time. We have been blessed to have her as both our graduate advisor and mentor for the past 5 months. The impact she has had on the senior class will last beyond their time at HBU. Also, a special thank you to Soror Donielle Lewis for helping out as well!
