From my inbox :

*A LESSON FOR ALL*

One morning at our Law College, when our new teacher for "Introduction to Rights" entered the classroom, the first thing he did was to ask the name of a student who was seated on the first bench:

‘’What is your name?"

"My name is Juan, Sir."

"Leave the classroom and I don't want to ever see you in my class ever!" screamed the unpleasant teacher.

Juan was bewildered.

When he got hold of his senses, he got up quickly, collected his belongings and left the classroom.

All were scared and angry; however nobody spoke anything.

"Well, let's start the class," said the new teacher.

"What purpose do the enacted laws serve?"

We were afraid, but slowly gained confidence and we began to answer his questions.

"So that there is order in our society."

"No!" the teacher shouted.

"So that people pay for their wrong actions?"

"No! Doesn't anybody here have enough brains to know the answer to this question?!" asked the teacher, sarcastically.

"So that there is justice," said a girl timidly.

"At last! One person who is not a complete moron! That's correct.... so that there is justice.

And now, what is the use of justice?"

All of us were extremely uneasy with his rude attitude.

However, we continued trying to answer....
"To safeguard human rights."

"Well, what more?" asked the teacher.

"To differentiate right from wrong and to reward the good."

"Ok, that's not bad.

However, answer this question:

Did I act correctly when expelling Juan from the classroom?"

All were quiet, nobody answered.

"I want a decisive and unanimous answer!" he shouted.

"No!" we all replied in unison.

"Then could you say I committed an injustice?"

"Yes!"

Then his voice softened and he asked, "And why did nobody do anything in that respect?

So why do we need rules and laws if we don't have the necessary will to practice them?

Each one of you has an obligation to do something when you witness an injustice.

ALL of you!

Do not stay quiet, never again!

Go and call Juan," he said staring at me.

On that day, I received the most practical lesson in my course of Law.

When we don't defend our rights, we lose our dignity, and dignity is not negotiable

NB. “Don’t just sit down and watch things go bad under your nose.

Say Something and do something. It doesn't matter if you are called names or you face not being liked.

We’re all guilty....

Kindly forward this message to all your groups.

If we see injustice and do nothing that injustice will come one day and haunt us.

That is the lesson of the failure of Nigeria.

Southwest Commissioners of Education meet on Yoruba Language

Commissioners of Education in the Southwest, Kwara and Kogi States will meet in Ibadan on 3 March 2022 to deliberate on the protection, preservation and promotion of Yoruba language. This meeting is being organised by the new Yoruba World Centre, a project launched by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo last November.

This meeting, the first of its kind in recent times, and in Collaboration with Oodua Investment Plc and DAWN Commission, is to discuss extensively on the coming annual Yoruba Language Millionaire Contest among secondary schools in all Yoruba Speaking states, a programme meant for the reclaim of Yoruba youths hooked to foreign ways of life.

To join the Commissioners will be Chairmen of ALGON, and Chairpersons of Committee on education in the Southwest, Kwara and Kogi states houses of Assembly. Also, to attend will be the Group Managing Director of Oodua Investment Plc, the Director General of Dawn Commission and the Coordinator of Yoruba World Centre (as hosts). In attendance will be the President and Secretary of the Yoruba Secondary School Teachers Association, Egbe Akomolede, the President of Yoruba Studies Association (YSAN) and the Managing Director of University Press Limited.

A statement from Yoruba World Centre reveals: “We have gotten in touch with all the commissioners, holding meetings personally with some of them, and they are so glad to have a meeting where such promotion of the Yoruba language will be discussed in order to have it used as a tool for development, nation building, youth empowerment, national unity and peaceful co-existence.

“The meeting is going to serve as a hub for Yoruba language development, where institutional backing shall be given to efforts from scholars and private sectors to the promotion of Yoruba language, re-establishing it as a language of commerce and development.” The statement concluded

Yoruba Spiritual Education:
Asa wa ni, Ise wa ni, Orisun wa ni, Iran wa ni, Iitan wa ni,Ede wa ni, Oruko wa ni, ko gbodo parun.

It's just a pity that the society we live in is influencing every individuals to have it all on this earth but unfortunately, Not everyone will have it all.

That's why we are facing different challenges; we see some people work extremely hard but have nothing to show for it.

We see some wealthy men/women who literally worship their partner as Olódùmarè, yet their partner will still have their reasons to say goodbye. These kind of people will try if another marriage would work.

Some are happily married, but for the wife to conceive is the problem that they are facing. Even those who have children will still have something that they are chasing.

If people don't have all these things, society and its norms will ridicule them and make them feel inferior, meanwhile, the society was not there when they were choosing what their destinies prior coming to the world.

Sometimes, it's social comparison that occupies our minds that we forget to be grateful for those things we accomplished with little efforts.

May we not die while chasing what we didn't choose to have from heaven.
May be that's why people are dying untimely.
'' Èmi kan rò bẹ́ẹ̀ ni o''🤷‍♀️

In a nut shell, it is just those things that our orí chose from heaven that we will have on earth with little efforts and definitely last longer than what we achieved by all means

Let us take life easy and be grateful in every circumstances. Sometimes, what some Orí chose just need some efforts, patience and time manifest.

Ifá says

Today's for digging of the chewing stick
Tomorrow is for drying the chewing stick
Day after tomorrow is to chewing the chewing stick
Four days time is for washing the mouth and spitting out the chewed stick.

The priest of Orí (the head) cast Ifá for Orí on the day he was going on a Priesthood journey to the house of Nígagà nigógó,
He was asked to offer sacrifice,
He complied.
Ọ̀gàgà ǹ góńgó you are the priest of Orí

The Orí that chose money will have money,
Nigaga nigogo, whatever Orí chose, it will do;

The Orí that chose wife will have a wife,
Nigaga nigogo, whatever Orí chose, it will do;

The Orí that chose children will have children,
Nigaga nigogo, whatever Orí chose, it will do;

The Orí that chose husband will have a husband,
Nigaga nigogo, whatever Orí chose, it will do;

The Orí that chose every blessing will have every blessing,
Nigaga nigogo, whatever Orí chose, it will do.

Wether sooner or later, whatever each Orí chose shall eventually accomplished
