For the first time in months, we’re opening up an adult sewing opportunity — and we’re starting with a skill you can use again and again: alterations.

We’re teaming up with chyr, founder of and a third-generation patternmaker with 15 years of fashion-industry experience, for an intensive, hands-on Alterations Clinic.

Bring a costume if you have one — or grab those pants, that dress or the jacket sitting in your closet because it just doesn’t fit quite right. You’ll spend four hours learning how to make it work for you.

The initial lease is 6 months, with an option to renew for an additional 6 months, a maximum of 1 year. It’s an opportunity to learn, experiment, and build real-world retail experience.
