Families - The Buckner Family Hope Center® seeks to keep families together by providing them with critical services, a

id and coaching to keep them strong and decrease the likelihood of abuse, neglect and removal of children. Our Family Hope Centers are child-centered, family-focused places where families go to find hope, support and empowerment in their community to reach their fullest God-given potential. Single parents - Buckner Family Pathways provides single-parent families the opportunity to live in a safe, secure environment while completing their educational or vocational goals and learning the skills needed to become self-sufficient. Families are provided support through access to affordable housing, financial assistance and case management services, which include referrals to parenting education, budget training, life skills and individual and group counseling. We are thankful for our collaboration with Children’s Museum Houston, who has been providing Early Childhood Outreach Programming for our Family Coaching families with children ages 0–5. To show their appreciation, they graciously shuttled our families to the museum for a special visit and tour of their new wing. It was a meaningful experience filled with learning, exploration, and joy!

Our staff and clients recently participated in Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training through Harris County. This is an impactful program through FEMA that equips everyday citizens with lifesaving skills in times of disaster.

Through this training, participants learned how to respond effectively when emergencies occur, provide immediate assistance, and support their communities when professional responders are delayed.

CERT is all about readiness, safety, and people helping people—and we’re proud to continue empowering our families with the knowledge and confidence to make a difference when it matters most.
