We are a non-profit organization which was formed to fill in the gaps and gray areas in the current system meant to support those experiencing homelessness. We walk patiently with our clients and learn their specific situation, goals and plan. Then we help guide them through the necessary steps to achieve their goals. Instead of putting a band aide on the issue, we approach each person as an individual and teach them the skills needed to move from crisis to lifelong self-sufficiency.

Santa Maria Hostel has been a cornerstone of support for vulnerable women and families in Houston since the 1950s, providing a pathway out of homelessness through compassionate, comprehensive care. Focused on empowering women—many of whom face trauma, housing instability, and health challenges—the organization offers emergency shelter, recovery programs, and long-term housing solutions. Through services like case management, mental health support, job readiness, and substance use treatment, Santa Maria helps individuals move from crisis to stability and independence. Their work not only restores lives but strengthens entire families, creating lasting change in the homeless community.

Today, Kimmy is not only housed—she's surrounded by the support of a loving family. What was once uncertainty has been replaced with belonging, proving that with compassion and opportunity, transformation is always possible. 💙

Another life changed, another door opened. We’re celebrating a powerful success story as one more of our neighbors has moved off the streets and into a place to call their own. What once felt uncertain is now filled with stability, dignity, and hope. Moments like this remind us that every effort, every conversation, and every act of compassion matters—because home changes everything. This took 7 agencies and 2 years but HOPE Haven was here to see it through! All the glory and praise be to God! 💙🙌🏻
