But healing begins when we stop performing and start being honest. Authenticity is not weakness; it is strength. God cannot heal the version of you that is pretending.

He heals the real you—the hurt you, the growing you, the becoming you. Stop pretending. Show up as you are, and allow God to do what only He can do.

Recovery is not always what people think it is.

When many hear the word addiction, they automatically think of drugs or alcohol. But the truth is, addiction can look very different. Sometimes, the struggle is not something that is injected, smoked, or consumed—it is rooted in behaviors, emotions, and unhealthy coping mechanisms.

In JerNe’s Project RECOVERY: Recovery God’s Way, we address non-chemical addictions and the toll they can take on a person’s life. Whether it is s*x, food, shopping, working, money, unhealthy relationships, or even image and appearance, addiction can quietly impact your emotional, mental, spiritual, and everyday well-being.

The truth is, anything we turn to for comfort, escape, validation, or control outside of God can become unhealthy and begin to take hold of us.

Healing is possible. Freedom is possible. And recovery is about so much more than breaking free—it is about becoming whole.

There’s a heart-truth many of us struggle to face: when sin no longer offends us, it’s a warning sign that our hearts are growing comfortable with what grieves God. But when correction stings, it’s not punishment, it’s love pointing us back to the path of life.

God’s discipline is a sign that He sees you, that He believes in you, that He’s not willing to let you settle for less than His best for your life. The question is: will you allow His correction to shape you, refine you, and redirect you, or will you harden your heart and stay comfortable in what’s destroying you?

Take courage today. Lean into His Word. Receive correction as a gift, and let the discomfort be the spark that awakens a holy sensitivity to sin. A life that grieves sin and welcomes God’s correction is a life that will shine brightly, a life that will walk in freedom, and a life that will honor God in every choice. 🤍🙏🏻
